"Maria, have you heard what is happening out there?" Richie asked and threw down a newspaper. I looked up at him and read through it.
"Apparently he and a couple others were immortals." I looked at him with such astonishment so he took the newspaper and sat next to me.
"Someone is shooting immortals and someone is taking their heads." I sighed and stood up, automatically worrying about Richie.
"Richie, you need to leave," I said and he stood up and shook his head.
"I am not leaving you here alone."
"Richie, he could attack you next, please, just go somewhere else where I know you are-" he interrupted me with a kiss and I just stared at him.
"And you could be his next target, who knows," he said and I hugged him tight, knowing he would never leave me alone. I walked over to the phone and called Joe immediatley.
"Maria, what is going on?" I sighed and Richie sat on the table with the phone on it.
"Joe... there is someone shooting down immortals and then taking their heads... Can you make sure Duncan is okay for me."
"I am on it. Thanks for the heads up." I nodded and hung up, where I looked at Richie and he got off of the table and I hugged him, so terrified for him. He hugged me and for some reason it didn't calm me down this time.
"I want you to leave, Richie, please." He sighed and I could tell that I was annoying him so I licked my lips and felt an immortal. He pulled out his sword and I knew who it was so I pushed his sword back in and grabbed his arms tight.
"RUN RICHIE!" He looked at me and Xavier began to walk inside. I pushed Richie and he ran, getting on his bike. Someone shot at him but missed and he rode off.
"Hello, Maria," I heard from behind me. I felt him and turned around to see Xavier and I paused and he looked around.
"Nice club, really shows who you are as a person, bright and... different." I heard the door open again and Horton walked in. I ran at him but more men came in behind him with guns, so I stopped and Xavier and Horton laughed.
"I guess Joe didn't tell you, he saved my life after you died there on the floor." I looked back at Xavier and saw his hand was in fact missing.
"You two are working together? Xavier, that is not how you-"
"I play the game how I want," he said and the people behind him raised their guns, to which Horton stepped up to me and met up with Xavier behind me. I threw down my sword and was ready to be hit with a bunch of bullets but as soon as the guns were cocked, Xavier stepped in front of me and Horton sighed. I opened my eyes and saw the men looking at each other, confused.
"I said anyone but her," he said and Horton walked up to him with pure anger.
"She is still an abomination," Horton said and I wanted to kill him so badly.
"I am too, and yet you are helping me," Xavier said and the men filed out of the club. I went after Horton, but Xavier grabbed onto me and I screamed. Horton hit me with the butt of his gun and I woke up to Duncan shaking me awake. I sat up and put my hand to my head, to which Duncan looked at it.
"Xavier is back," I said and he looked up at Joe, who I for some reason didn't hate.
"And he is working with Horton and a bunch of other crazy Watchers." Duncan looked up at Joe and was about to do something so I stepped in between them and Duncan just stared at me with anger.
"How is Horton alive, Joe?" I looked back at him too and he sighed, sitting down in a chair.
"I couldn't just let him die there, MacLeod, he is my sister's husband. I brought him to the Hospital after Maria stabbed him. I didn't know this would happen, I-"
