I felt Duncan and Amanda and turned around to see them at my open door. I sighed and was about to tell Amanda to leave when I realized she had been crying, so I zipped my lips.
"What happened?" I asked and Amanda began to cry, which I had never even seen before. Duncan walked her in and I sat in front of her as she sat on the couch. I was evil, but not evil enough to not hear her out. Crying was not like Amanda.
"Someone killed Rebecca," Amanda said and I instantly wanted to cry with her. I walked up to her and hugged her, knowing damn well that I probably didn't deserve to.
"I am so sorry, Amanda. She was an amazing woman and will live on in our hearts... I promise you that." Amanda laughed a little bit and she wiped her tears away.
"Thanks, Maria." I nodded and went to the kitchen where I started some coffee for her. She knew something, but I decided not to push. I handed her the cup and actually felt bad for her. I couldn't imagine losing someone like Connor... I had already lost one of my teachers.
"It was Luther," Amanda said and Duncan grabbed her arm, staring at her.
"You said you didn't know who did it," Duncan said and Amanda shrugged her shoulders.
"I'm sorry, I just wanted to kill him by myself. He doesn't deserve to live." I sighed, leaning all the way back on the couch. I hated Luther to death even before this happened. He was one of the worst immortals to exist.
"He wants this," Amanda said and held out her crystal. I clapped suddenly and threw my arms up.
"I KNEW it... I tried to think of why he would be here. He killed Rebecca for a damn myth. What the HELL!" I threw my glass, which shattered, spilling coffee down the wall. I squatted down and felt Amanda's hand on my back.
"I'm sorry, Amanda... you were closer to her then I was, I didn't-"
"That doesn't mean you can't be pissed. I already cried enough and now I want to kill Luther." I nodded as I stood up and looked at the crystal.
"If you want I can take it -hide it- where he won't find it. I promise I won't steal it, I don't even believe in the stupid myth... but he wouldn't think of looking here right off the bat." She nodded and handed me the crystal and I just stared at it, thinking of Rebecca. I hid it in the secret room as I opened the room with the music box and closed it back up, looking at the two of them, not knowing what to say.
"Thanks, Maria. You are the best." I nodded and she hugged me again, which made me feel happier and made me realize that I really did love Amanda, I just couldn't keep up with her problems because I always had my own. I walked with them and we talked for hours about many of things.
"Listen, Maria. I am still looking for those pieces of jewelry that you wanted... but the original buyer sold them to someone else and he doesn't know who. I am truly sorry for that." I smiled and put my hand on her back.
"I have thought about it a lot and I forgive you, Amanda. Rebecca's death made me realize that I just can't lose you either." I hugged her to my side and we laughed.
"I am going to-" Duncan started but we all felt Luther and I turned around. He took one look at me and laughed.
"Maria Enache... you are hanging out with the dumb kids now? You were always so much cooler then the rest. Give me the crystal and we-" I pulled out my sword and he looked at it and pulled out his.
"Let's dance," I said and lunged at him, feeling nothing but hatred for him. We fought for a while, talking in between.
"Why do you want the crystal so much, Asshole?"
