I looked up from my laptop to see Abe without his cast and I smiled, and he smiled, sitting down next to me as I continued to write.

"You still write in that?" he asked and I shrugged my shoulders, realizing how behind I was in it after Kalas.

"Yeah, I started it back up again. After Richie and I broke up I went to Romania and completely forgot about this thing, so I decided I was bored and thought about picking it back up."

"Well, it might keep you busy for now," Abe said and I smiled as I finished a chapter, closing the laptop.

"How is it going, Abe?"

"Not bad now, I just got that dumb cast off and now I am free to do field work again."

"Wait, this whole time you weren't doing field work?"

"No, they wouldn't let me, they put me on research again." I laughed and heard the club door fly open and saw Lily, a friend of mine and she stared at me really weirdly.

"Lily, what is wrong?" I asked and she fell to the floor, creating a pool of blood underneath her as she laid there. Me and Abe ran over to her, turning her over to see she had been stabbed two or three times. Abe picked her up and we raced to the Hospital as I tried to keep her awake. They rushed her to the back and all I and Abe could do was wait there and hope she didn't die.

"How do you know this girl?"

"I knew her Mother before she died and I kind of took Lily in under my wing. I have no idea what happened." Abe hugged me and I tried not to cry thinking about it all.

"Are you Maria?" A woman asked and I nodded and she grabbed my hands.

"Hi, she really wants to see you." I nodded again and Abe came with us as we headed to the room they were keeping her in. I smiled as I saw her, but all she could do was hold the face of guilt. The nurse left us and I sat on the bed with her as Abe closed the door behind the nurse.

"Lily, what the Hell happened to you? Who did this?"

"I can't tell you," she said and I rolled my eyes and she sighed, trying to sit up, but I pushed her back down.

"Does this have something to do with your Mother, is that why you can't tell me?"

"NO... it is too dangerous."

"Yeah, apparently it is because you were stabbed three times. Tell me or I will have to go to the police and they will-" I tried to get up but she grabbed my arm faster than I could talk and I looked back at her.

"No, you can't. They will kill me, they will kill you and they will get away with it all."

"Then tell me so I can do something about it." She hesitated.

"It is the Alvarez gang," she said and I threw my head back, feeling angry and Abe walked up, sitting in the chair in the corner of the room.

"What is the Alvarez gang?"

"It is a gang on the outskirts of Washington who kill people who don't obey their every word. But... all they deal in is meth and cocaine. Which one are you doing?" She stared at me and I grabbed her arms, making her heartbeat go up.

"DO you want to go to jail for illegal substances?"

"OKAY, okay. I shot up two nights ago with stuff I stole from one of their hideouts." I sighed and let go of her, heading out of the room, Abe following me.

"Abe, I need you to stay here with her just in case they come to her. I am going to go pay them a visit." He grabbed my hand and I looked at him once more.
