47 | COMPLICATED

Minho and I sat in the backyard of my house, enjoying the nice weather. Last night after I came down from my embarrassment, we spent the rest of the night cuddling and watching movies.

Hesitantly I look to Minho as a thought can to my mind "Does your family know about us?"

Minho didn't look at me and kept his focus on the ground. I notice his eyes wavering as he thought about his reply. Slowly, he shook his head.

I look away and frown "Oh"

"It's complicated Jisung"

I nod "I'm sure it is", feeling myself grow upset. I knew how much his family meant to him, in all honesty, I felt like his family was more of a family than mine.

"Don't be upset with me" I look at him and his worried eyes.

"Why haven't you told them? Do they know your into guys?"

Minho swallowed harshly and nods "Yeah, they do"

I furrow my brows "Then what is it?" I scoot to
him.

Minho looks away and sighs "They aren't the type to flaunt their money and they don't care for people that do, they don't like people that take advantage of their power"

I stare at him and I wanted to laugh in his face but all I said was "That's what they think of us, isn't it?"

Minho looked at me hesitantly and nod "Yeah, they said it after the dinner we all had"

I scoff "And you think they will hate me, that's why I you haven't told them?"

"Jisung—"

"No, because it is true. They will hate me because my family has and flaunts money, like everyone else here. Your family isn't so different from the others Minho"

"Stop," He said, shaking his head. Hating the fact that I was speaking my mind about his family.

"Your family judges people on how much wealth someone else has, they feed off the rumors and base people off of them just like everyone else. It doesn't matter if they don't flaunt their money or use their power, they are still just like us"

Minho sat there and stared at me. Hating the truth because it was his family, he didn't want to agree.

"You can leave now" I stood up and he did the same.

"Can you listen to me!" He shouts "I don't care what they think of you or your family"

I swallow harshly "If they told you to end this, would you?"

Minho hesitantly shook his head "No"

I frown and nod "Yes you would, they mean everything to you. I know that"

"Jisung please—" He tries to walk to me but I step back.

"Minho, I don't think you understand my feelings about this. You just told me that your family doesn't like mine and that hurts, because my parents loves you. You don't know how I feel in this"

Minho shook his head "Don't do this" He spoke lowly.

"I'll tell you this, my family knows what happened that night with Damon" Minho's eyes widen "They have for a while so after you leave here and go home, tell your parents to thank mine that the cops haven't gone knocking on y'all's door. That's how they use the power your family hates so much. You protected me and they protected you."

Minho looked down "I didn't know that"

"Of course, you didn't" The air around us was now cold as I look back to the house "You can see your way out," I said before walking back into the house.

I didn't feel the need to cry. I cried so much over this one boy then I have in my whole life and I was tired of it. He made me happy but how can he be fully happy if his own family, whom he loved so much didn't like mine?

It didn't feel right to me. I could never look him in the eyes and tell him to choose me over them, I'd know I would lose.

And our love-hate relationship begins. hehe.
