"you should've told minho how you like to take it," the raven haired punctuates his statement with a particularly sharp thrust. "like the little slut you are."

"i didn't— i didn't do anything with him" hyunjin responds shakily, his voice partly muffled by the pillow his boyfriend pressed his face on. a hand comes to yank his face up by his hair.

"what did i say would happen if you lied to me again?"

"it's the truth — i swear," he rushes to defend himself, instantly panicking. "nothing like that happened, i promise, i'm not lying—"

"pathetic," the other says before pressing his face against the pillow once again, making it difficult to breathe. "what else could he possibly be this interested in all of a sudden? you don't have a lot to offer besides this, do you, jinnie?"

nearly getting suffocated by the pillow, he instinctively starts to struggle a little. needless to say, that doesn't exactly please the older.

"chill," he hears the slap before he registers the burning sensation on his skin, it causing him to cry out in pain. "why do you always have to be so fussy?"

that being said, the older pulls out and makes him turn around. grateful he's able to breathe again, he brings his hand on his neck to feel his pulse. still there, he sighs in relief.

"come to think of it, maybe something good will come out of this."

confused but not given enough time to think about it as the other pushes himself in again, hyunjin presses his eyes shut. his boyfriend comes to force his arms above his head and holds them there by his wrists. he can feel his hot breath on his face now and it makes him turn his face to the side.

"once the word about that guy's past starts spreading, everyone will know what happened. do you think you'll still find a way to make someone want you?"

"i'm sorry" is all hyunjin can come up with.

"sorry won't cut it if you're still going to find a way to spread your legs to anyone who's still willing to touch you. you should be thankful i'm still here."

"i—" his words seem to get caught in his throat again, his tears threatening to stain the sheets. he tries to think about something else, to distract himself — anything so he wouldn't show the other his words are getting to him. it takes everything in him to stop his voice from shaking. "thank you for staying."

later that evening hyunjin stands in front of one of the tall windows facing the street and watches people rush to their destinations as it starts to rain again for the nth time this week. he sighs.

"what's gotten you so gloomy," it's more of an annoyed observation rather than a genuine question so hyunjin simply shrugs, taking a sip of his tea. "it's depressing to be around you."

"sorry" hyunjin doesn't let the words linger and apologizes instead, not taking his gaze off the bus stop across the street where he sees a few people waiting. "uni work has been a lot lately."

"yeah, right."

instead of even pretending to be interested, the raven haired simply disappears in the bathroom and hyunjin lets his tense shoulders relax. he's already ready for bed.

weirdly enough, his thoughts bring him to minho and how it was sleeping next to him. how warm it was and how well he slept, contrary to most nights. these days he prefers sleeping alone instead of waking up to insults or being touched against his will. with minho, however, he didn't feel like he had to worry about any of that. the thought makes him wince. why is he even thinking about minho in the first place?
