I felt embarrassed that my gift from Eywa was so noticeable. Don't get me wrong, I was extremely proud that she had chosen me to give the message to the Metakiyina Clan, but couldn't she have given me a bracelet or something?

The conversation between Neytiri and I had finished so I left the pod and searched for Lo'ak and I'd palm tree. I see Ao'nung on the way to the tree and shoot him an evil glare as he gawked at my white hair that was glittering against the sunshine of the sunny day.

I see Lo'ak already sitting at the tree, he stands up when he sees me almost falling over from my new appearance.

'It's rude to stare' I say sitting down next to him. With him still standing he slowly sits down to join me. I could still feel his gaze upon me silently.

'I know, I look stupid.' I grumble not making eye contact with him, which I had found to be a trend in our conversations. He made me feel nervous.

Lo'ak's hand touches my shoulder,  'you look breathtaking Mai'

'Really? You think so?'

'Yes, I heard people talking about it whilst you were talking with my parents, but I didn't expect it to look this good.'

I smile at Lo'ak resting my head on his shoulder which was one of my favorite positions of us.

'It like, glitters almost. It's almost silver,' Lo'ak breathes in fascination to towards my new look. 'Now everyone's going to be after you,'

I laugh at his statement in disbelief planting a kiss on his nose, 'but I'm yours now remember?' I say cutely.

He nods returning the kiss in my own nose, 'yup, all mine' he giggles kissing me properly this time.

We heard loud gagging from the shore. I look over rolling my eyes to see Kiri and Tsireya heaving and pretending to throw up laughing at us.

'Get a ROOM,' Kiri yells which earns a middle finger from Lo'ak and another eye roll from me.

'Sxkawng!' Lo'ak yells back, 'go play with the fishes or something Kiri.'

I push him gently telling him to stop being mean to his sister.

Suddenly we hear a huge uproar in the direction of the pods. Tonowari must have told the clan my news of the Sky People. Lo'ak and I exchange looks before racing to the Pods to see what was going on, Kiri and Tsireya following shorty behind.

We get there to see Jake holding a human device above his head and yelling that if a Tulkan is marked with this it's marked for life. Where did he even get that from?

'You must tell your Tulkan to leave!' Jake yells. Lo'ak and I look at each other with the same name in our heads. Payakan.

The clan disperses to tell their sisters to flee this part of the ocean for a while. Lo'ak and I in the meantime also race to the docks to call our Ilu's to tell Payakan.

'I guess you can finally meet Payakan,' Lo'ak smiles,

'Yeah, actually about that -' my explanation was cut short by Neteyam storming onto the docks.

'Dads gonna skin you, stay here. Don't make things harder than they need to be Lo'ak. He's just worried about you.' Neteyam speaks to Lo'ak. So Neteyam must know about Payakan and his stories too.

I knew Payakan wasn't the murderer he was made out to be. You had to meet him to understand his kind soul.

'-we'll I'm not you,' Lo'ak was telling now pushing his brother Neteyam. I was broke out of my daze and now listening to what Lo'ak was saying. I softly place my hand on Lo'ak's back to calm him down.

This seemed to piss Neteyam off for some reason. Was he really that mad at me for siding with Lo'ak on this?

'He's my brother. Not you!' Lo'ak continues.

Ouch. Poor wording Lo'ak.

Neteyam grimaces and gets up in Lo'ak's face with a look of thunder. Was he about to punch him? Before he could Lo'ak turned around and jumped in the water onto his Ilu making clicking noises to call Payakan.

'I'm sorry Tey'em, but he's right.' I say looking helplessly at Neteyam who was standing there as helplessly as me.

'Don't do it Mai.' Neteyam warns, but I follow Lo'ak and jump onto my Ilu racing after him. I hear splashes from behind me and I know the others have jumped into the water to follow us too.

Looks like Payakan is meeting everyone today, hope he's in the mood for company.
