Chapter six

You woke up and looked to see König still resting with you but it was also nighttime outside , close to dinner time . The lighting from outside lighting up the room you were sitting in at the moment . You rested your head on his arm and you closed your eyes , not sleeping, just relaxing . You heard many Loud footsteps coming towards you and you got a bit panicked and clung to König . Ghost and the others stepped into the room and the first one to break the silence of course was soap.
" she trusts him enough , wonder how that happened ."
Soap said in a low tone just in case , he didn't want to wake you but you were already up which he didn't know.
" she hasn't slept much in days , during her stay at the hospital was rough for her . She has eye bags and it isn't a dead give away she's tired so she needs it."
Ghost said , his deep tone lingering throughout the rec room.
'' we got a spare room we could put her in but i don't think she'll like the isolation .''
Gaz spoke .
'' well just wait for her to grow comfortable with us , were on leave for now .''
Ghost said, walking into the kitchen .
You yawned and just decided to get up . you got up slowly and you grabbed your crutches . the others looked at you and you gave them a tiny smile .
'' Hi ...''
You said .
Konig felt lighter which caused him to wake up and he noticed you were gone and he looked up but he saw you with the others in the kitchen so he eased up . He sat up straight and swung his legs over on the edge of the couch and he looked around .
'' its dinner so here .''
Ghost handed you a preheated MRE and you took it from him gently and you opened it up .
You walked and sat down on the couch and got your spork ready and got to eating . you felt this was like family . you smiled and thanked Ghost with a silent nod and you continued to eat in your comfortable silence . Ghost motioned the others to step out of the room and they all left to talk and left you to eat while they discussed something . you watched as they left the room but you didn't question it .
" She said she came from a facility and was tested on but she's been gone for 4 years . What if they're still looking for her ."
Ghost said and the others looked at you and then back at ghost.
" True but they had to have given up. It's been four years Ghost ."
Soap spoke quietly .
" True but she could be a valuable asset to them and something that is important is something they won't stop until they find it."
Ghost countered .
" you both serve a point but she seems like a normal kid , she hasn't done anything wrong or dangerous."
Gaz said .
" not yet ."
Soap bounced back at him .
" we'll keep watch for now but until then we keep her here and learn more about her but she seems to be more trusting of ghost and König ."
Soap spoke again .
" König keep an eye on her and make sure she's OK and if she opens up to you then just tell us in private ."
Ghost said .
" got it ."
König said .
You had finished your dinner by the time they finished talking and you waited for them patiently.
They all started walking into the room and they split and started doing their own things .you walked to the couch and set your crutches down and König sat next to you .
'' so y/n what did you learn today ?.''
Konig asked while looking down at you .
'' well i learned math with soap today , he said i did good .''
You said happily .
'' that's good .''
Konig said , being glad that you sounded happy .
When soap heard you he smiled while opening his MRE.
Ghost noticed this and he nudged soaps arm playfully .
'' seems someone is a proud teacher .''
Ghost smirked under his mask .
'' gotta teach her somehow .''
Soap chuckled .
You and Konig made small talk which led to a conversation and it turns out he found out some things you like to do .
'' well i like to draw .''
You said with a smile .
'' that sounds fun .''
Konig said in a soft tone .
Konig had really bad social anxiety but when he was around kids he was always calm and chill . He had a way with kids since he has family back home in hamburg but around teens he also knew how they work since he was one himself . You continued to talk for a while and then some sort of alarm went off which panicked you a bit .You went to get up quickly but Konig gently grabbed your wrist and noticed your quickened breath .
'' It's okay , it's just the alarm to let us know it's time to head off to bed . ''
Konig said calmly to make sure not to spook you more .
You sat back down slowly and you calmed down .
The others noticed how Konig calmed you and they didn't know how but it worked .
'' alright boys time to head off and light out .''
Ghost said while walking down the hallway to his room not looking back .
Soap and the others said goodnight and Konig went to get up but you grabbed his pointer finger and he looked at you .
'' Can you stay.....please....''
You said sheepishly .
'' same thing ?.''
You nodded and he let out a chuckle and he laid on his side of the couch and you laid down with him and wrapped your arms around him . the lights shut out and you were left in the arms of Konig . He got the blanket that was on the couch and he draped it over you and he soon rested his eyes as well . you felt safe with him , it was something you didn't understand but all you knew is that you felt safe with him and that you trusted him . Konig didn't mind you resting with him, after what he heard you endured he didn't blame you for not wanting to be alone but he enjoyed your company a lot .
