Chapter fifteen

Nova sat wide awake in the chopper next to her squadron . The loud rosters of the aircraft filled the silence and was almost like white noise. She was happy that she was gonna see you again but the part that bugged her is that she was risking her life for you and no one knew it at the moment but maybe that wouldn't happen . Maybe that would change . Her mind was racing with all the things that could go wrong but her number one priority was you at the moment .
" something on your mind dr nova ? ."
The soldier on her left spoke to her , nudging her with the blunt end of his rifle .
" Oh nothing is all just some things ."
She spoke a bit nervously , trying to hide the fact that she was indeed nervous .
" don't sweat it , we'll get the assets and bring the people that have her in for questioning ."
The captain spoke from in front of her.
" right..."
She sighed .
She didn't want you to get hurt but she looked up task force 141 background and she knew this wasn't gonna be good but maybe she could contact the main person . She opened up her laptop that was in her lap and she opened up a file to an email . She decided she would contact Laswell, their general. She started to type and the light tapping of the keyBoard got the soldier next to her on her right attention.
" What are you doing ?."
The soldier asked .
" sending a message to them ."
She spoke .
" don't give away our position and make it quick."
The captain chimed in .

You have someone , our assets that we have been looking for , for over 4 years . You have her and we need you to hand her over or things will be rough . This isn't a threat, this is just us aaa king for our property back . Signed B.T.F.U 12.

She sent the message and closed her laptop signing as she did . She knew this day would come and she knew that there was gonna be bloodshed .

You sat between Ghosts legs on the couch with your back against his chest and your head leaning against him as you watched tv . There was not much to do but Konig had other plans . You heard loud footsteps along with tiny footsteps coming towards you. You turned your head and you saw that there was a dog on a leash with him . A curious look grew on your face and you gently pushed yourself off Ghost causing him to turn around and see that König had brung Riley with you . König un-clipped Riley's leash and Riley went up to ghost and sniffed him but it wasn't until Riley went up to your face and sniffed your face . Riley jumped on the couch and he went towards you and he licked your face causing you to giggle .
" What's his name ?".
You asked while petting him. 
" His name is Riley. "
Ghost spoke in a low tone yet it was soft .
Riley soon stopped and he laid down on your lap. You got back into your comfy position that you were in before and you got back to watching tv. König sat down and he had a smile on . He was happy that you were happy . He didn't think you would know what a dog  or a pet was but he also knew that you would have known since you've been on your own for literally four years. Ghost didn't need to question Konig about why he brought the dog but he knew that he did it for you and as long as it was for you he was alright with that . You all laid down and were just resting but little did you know what was going on outside of base .

-Back to laswell at her office -

Laswell sat at her office on her laptop digging through some files until she had a message pop up . Her eyes narrowed but then widened when she saw who it was from . B.T.F.U 12 , she opened the message immediately and she read it.
" fuck ."
She whispered under her breath as she shut her laptop quickly and called price . She knew that they had found you , well more so they had no choice but to take you since you had gotten hit in crossfire when you first met with Ghost. She didn't think that their asset would be you . She knew that they were an organization to be exact and she knew the troubles she and the others would get into if she did not cooperate with their wishes. She picked up her phone and she immediately dialed in price on a burner phone and waited patiently yet eagerly.
" price speaking ?."
Price picked up the phone and answered .
" Bring the girl in now, we got a message from the suspected unit . "
She said harshly .
" but -."
He was cut off and soon heard the sound of static and buzzing. She hung up .

-Back to you and the others-

Price left his room and he stormed down the hallway . The loud footsteps of boots could be heard and you turned your head Wondering why they were so quick . Ghost turned his head as well and you both saw Price standing there .
" We need to bring y/n in ."
Price said harshly.
Ghost and Konig sat up along with you and ghost gently put you onto the couch and he stood up .
You stood up as well wondering what was going on but you heard your name which wasn't good.
" Laswell needs her , they found us . "
Ghosts eyes widened and he gently pushed you behind him and sorrow in front of you . Riley stood next to you sitting wondering what could be going on as well .
" we're not giving her in so easily. "
Ghost spoke low and harshly.
" Ghost this is not up for debate we have to bring her or our lives and jobs will be in danger. "
Price said back. 
" we're not giving her in ."
Soap spoke from behind as well as Gaz , causing Price to look behind him . Soap walked past price along with Gaz and they all stood in front of you , making a wall to protect you .
" you ain't takin her ..."
Ghost said venom laced in his voice .
He wolf give life or hell now for you regardless if you were his kid or not . He was gonna give his all and he knew the others would too just to protect you. He didn't care about losing his job , he finally had something in his life to keep safe besides his teammates.
" yknow what let them come to us , the kortac is already out scouting the old base so they're busy which just leaves us ."
Ghost spoke .
" Ghost you don't know what you are getting yourself into ."
Price Said  back a bit louder causing  you stand a bit closer to konig . You didn't want to see what you considered a family fight.  Konig looked down at you and he put his hand on your shoulder trying to silently reassure you it was gonna be fine .
" I do know what I'm getting into and I'm willing to take that risk ."
Ghost spat .
" she doesn't deserve any of it , she's just a kid and she still has much to learn ."
Gaz said, trying to support the others around him.
" Price, think about it if she was your own family . You wouldn't let them take her either ."
Soap spoke gently hoping to not escalate the situation. Price sighed knowing that Ghost wasn't gonna go down so easily and he punched the bridge of his nose. 
" fine ....I will try and get laswell to consider them not to take her but this is not going to be easy .."
Price spoke quietly . You smile to yourself , it was so weird to finally have people to protect you and keep you safe . It felt weird but you knew you could get used to this . Who knows where you'll be in a few years . You're most likely going to be staying with them , you hoped . Price left the room and went back to his room and rang Laswell . You looked up at Ghost and the others and you hugged Ghost's waist .
'' thank you ..''
You said quietly while pulling away .
You saw Price jog down the hallway into the room and Ghost got protective and put you behind him . 
'' she's sending the kortac , in about a 3 days they will be here on arrival to make sure nothing happens and to protect y/n and joining us will also be Alejandro .''
Price said as he gave everyone a stern look .
'' so she's not going anywhere ?.''
Soap said confused .
'' No , she's staying were just gonna try and see how big this problem might actually be but convincing laswell was a little tough but it pulled through  .''
Price said lowly .
'' get ready . this is going to be a shit show .''
Price said while going back to his quarter once again to get geared up .
The others nodded and left the room and went to theirs to get ready . ghost looked down at you and he went into his room with his duffle bag and grabbed some things for you . He went back out from his room and he handed you some black cargo pants and a black shirt along with your tactical vest . you took it and said thank you and you headed into the main bathroom that was near the kitchen and you went inside and got ready . you took off all your things and you threw them off and you put on your pants and shirt and then along with your vest . you quickly rushed and you went out of the bathroom to see everyone in the living room geared up and waiting for you .  ghost nodded and threw you a pair of socks and he handed you your boots as well . you sat on the floor for a moment and you put on your shoes . you stood up brushing yourself off once you were done and you looked at them .
'' you ready blaze ?.''
Soap asked .
'' i'm ready .''
You said sternly with a determined look .
This was your new family and you were not going to let anyone take them away from you even if it means someone else will lose their life .
