Chapter seventeen

It was the next day and you were in the kitchen . you had already geared up and you were ready for today . you did about an hour of academics with soap and Ghost when you first woke up and now you're getting your breakfast . soap handed you a plate with some eggs and cheese and a cup of water . you took it from him and thanked him as always and you sat down on the couch and you started eating . you ate in silence as you watched the others walk into the room and sit down at the table. They waved hello to you and you did it back to them . you were finally glad you started uo academics but you were also extremely worried . The scientists were after you and all you felt was fear when you thought about it . your face went blank for a moment as you thought about this . Konig noticed this and he got up from the table and he sat down next to you , leaving a little gap between you and him for personal space .
'' i know how your feeling , trust me your not going back .''
Konig spoke low and softly .
'' i know but it's just scary to think about cause it's been four years and now all of a sudden the found me.''
You said a bit nervously while finishing your eggs up .
You sighed and sat the plate next to you and you looked up at Konig .
You thought about something for a moment .
You had power which meant you were more powerful than the scientist . you could easily kill them if you wanted to . you were soon broken from your thoughts by the sound of a helicopter passing over the building . Ghost and the others went towards the window and they saw that it was the kortac . Price entered the room and he saw everyone at the window .
'' there here , the kortac .''
Price spoke as everyone turned their heads and walked up to him .
Konigs eyes widened a bit and he felt excited to be with his fellow siblings . Konig loved working with the kortac . Konig was surprised how he even got to be a recon sniper after many people said he wouldn't be able to join due to his tremendous size . you got up quickly after hearing prices words and you threw your plate into the sink and went to the others .
'' well head to the front to meet them .''
Price order , getting a nod from everyone .
You followed behind Konig and the others as you made your way outside . The hot air hit your skin as you walked outside . you saw a helicopter and you looked up in amazement . you stood next to konig as you all watched the helicopter door open . you watched as a few soldiers jumped out of the helicopter and they made their way towards you and the others.
" Nice to see you again konig ."
Aksel spoke towards Konig in his direction .
" to you as well ."
Konig spoke back with a slight nod.
" I see there's the kid we're supposed to protect."
Hutch looked down at you and you looked back with a little smile .
" yeah she's one of a kind ."
Price spoke, earning a glance from Ghost not going unnoticed by soap .
" We got a few more rooms on the lower floor of base for you guys ."
Price said .
" good to know . "
Aksel spoke .
" What's the kid's name ?."
Hutch asked .
" I'm y/n ."
You said as you looked up to him .
" Nice meeting you."
Hutch said with a little smile .
" you too ."
You nodded .
" Wait, where's fender , horgani , oni and rose ?."
Konig asked, noticing his other companions weren't there .
" We got caught up in a mission and they got badly injured so they're currently at our base in medical care."
Zero said .
" Alright, let's head inside before anything happens."
Soap said , speaking up .
They all nodded and you started to walk back into base . You walked throughout the hallways but price stopped towards the door . It opened and turned out there was a dimly lit stairwell.
Price moved in and walked down the stairs and the others followed . You watched as everyone walked down into it but you didn't. You stood there at the door frame watching them . Konig stopped and he looked at the others and back to you.
" hey guys I'll stay here with y/n ."
Konig said while standing next to you.
" alright then ."
Ghost spoke .
You watched as they entered and you heard the sound of chatter . Konig looked at you and kneeled down to you .
" How come you won't go down ?."
He asked curiously.
" I don't trust it ."
You spoke in a bit of a low tone .
" That's okay , here let's wait in the living room for them , is that alright ?."
Konig asked while standing up .
You and him both walked to the living and sat down together waiting in a comforting silence.
It wasn't long until you both saw the others walk in . Zero and the others sat at the table and Ghost sat next to you and Konig . Konig was on your left and ghost was on your right, leaving you in the middle between them. Ghost could sense your uneasy feelings and he looked down at you.
" don't worry,."
Ghost spoke softly .
" how do I know that I can trust them ? ."
You said to him .
" You're right , you don't know who you can trust and that's why my guard is up. Alejandro will be joining us in two days , he has some things to deal with ."
Ghost said .
" Okay ..."
You spoke quietly.
Alejandro would be coming to base in a few days due to him being on another current mission at the moment . Low chatter filled the room and you looked around keeping your guard up regardless if Ghost and Konig would protect you .
'' you wanna train now or later ?.''
Ghost asked, looking down at you , his eyes hooded and low . He may have not shown much emotion towards the others but he showed his emotions around you regardless of the mask .
'' now .''
You said getting up and fixing the straps on your vest .
'' alright .''
Ghost got up with you and you started walking out of the room until you were soon stopped by a voice .
'' where ya goin ?.''
Hutch asked while looking at you .
The others turned their heads and waited for an answer .
'' training with Ghost ..''
You said quietly
'' oh can we see , gotta see what good ol Ghosty boys been teaching you .''
Hutch chuckled .
'' okay then follow us i guess .''
You said quietly and they got up from the table and you all headed to the training area outside . konig , hutch , aksel and the others went outside to the training area with you . They got comfortable and sat against the wall . Ghost set down the mat on the floor and you got into your fighting stance . you wasted no time and you started to swing at Ghost . Ghost caught your first and he blocked it and went to twist your arm . you spin around kicking him in the knee and getting a hit to his face . The room went silent . Ghost used his leg and he kicked under you causing you to fall . you went to roll but ghost had caught you and pinned you on the floor . you hooked your free leg around his waist and and pushed him off of you with force . you got up quickly and went for his upper body and you got a hit to his chest . He blocked and decided to go hard on you and he put you into a chokehold . you could breathe but his hold on you was tight. Everyone's mouth went agape from seeing how Ghost was being so rough , he wasn't like this usually intraining but he thought today he would give you a challenge . Hutch looked at everyone with a bit of a worried look but he also wanted to see you win as well .
'' y/n y/n y/n y/n .''
He chanted quitely soon everyone heard and started chanting your name . you heard this and you felt like you couldn't escape Ghosts grasp but you had a spark of confidence . you elbowed him hard in the ribs causing him to let go of you and he was hunched over and you kneed him in the face causing him to stumble a bit .
'' YEAH Y/N .''
Hutch shouted and the others were excited for your achievement in training .
Ghost got up and he went over to you and he put his hand on your shoulder .
'' you did great today .''
He said proudly and also out of breath .
You fist pumped him and walked over to the others and they stood up as well off the wall and went over to you .
'' holy shit kid that was amazing .''
Hutch spoke.
'' heh thanks ...''
You said and he gave you a low five .
'' that kids got potential .''
Zero spoke .
'' i'm gonna rest now ....i'm kinda tired .''
You Said with a little laugh .
'' alright lets head out .''
Zero spoke and you all left the training room and headed to rec .
There were problems and a big one was headed your way , soon this all would be a rude awakening .
