Chapter eighteen

Laswell was on her laptop in her office working , her laptop dimly lit the room and she was scrolling through emails until one popped up and caught her attention . she opened the message and she started to read it to herself .

'' There's a problem .It is nova, ensure you know this by now but you need to be ready , i'm giving you the chance to escape and to be prepared . My squadron doesnt know this but the child that is in your possession is  very valuable to the B.T.F.U12 . Please keep her safe and don't let them get a hold of her . I'm currently dead at the moment , caught on and found out what I had planned . Please be ready and keep her safe . "

Laswell read the note and her eyes went into shock . Nova had warned before she died . When in the helicopter one of the soldiers peeked and saw what she was writing to Laswell. She saw the soldier and added the last part about her death because she knew that they don't take traitors as hostages , whoever betrayed the B.T.F.U12 didn't make it another day  and without hesitation shot her on the spot . Laswell immediately called up the price . you were laying down; on the couch with konig and the others were sleeping in the rooms and the only people up were konig and hutch . Hutch sat on the other couch across from you and konig and he soon spoke up .
'' she must really trust you .''
He said while pointing to your sleeping form .
''Yeah...she's been through a rough patch all she needs is some love and a good home.''
Konig said as he looked down at you, keeping  you close to him .
'' yeah , what she pulled earlier was amazing .''
Hutch said in amazement .
'' yeah .''
Konig said quietly, making sure not to wake you .
Ghost walked into the room and said his quiet hellos and he started to make his mre . After training you decided to rest before dinner . you were wearing one of Ghosts shirts and some shorts cause you were tired of wearing your gear so you took it off since it wasn't needed and you laid with konig as usual .  It wasn't long till you saw Price enter the room with a stern look .
'' there's a problem .''
Price said .
'' what do you mean .''
Ghost said while turning to face price.
'' there's a big problem .''
Price said in a worried tone .
'' Ghost, I need you to wake the others up and get ready .''
Price said and Ghost nodded , dropping what he was doing and he pressed a button on the wall that set off an alarm in each room . you jolted awake from the noise and your hands got hot and you saw fire in your hands . you panic for a moment but the fire soon dies down when you realize that you are okay and with konig . you saw the others rush down the hallway and into the rec room .
'' you needed us sir ?.''
Zero spoke while fixing his posture .
'' Yes , we need to talk . ''
They all went and stood around the table that was near the kitchen and started to discuss but soon price turned to konig .
'' take her outside to get some air .''
Price said
'' c,mon y/n we gotta go outside .''
Konig said softly .
You rubbed your eyes and you nodded .
Konig saw that you were tired so he just picked you up and headed to the small balcony .
Konig walked away with you and you held onto in fear that he would leave you . you didn't know how to be a kid . you really didn't know how it was but you didn't care about that , all that matter that you knew you were finally in the hands of people who cared about you . you heard the click of some sort of door and soon you were met with a breeze . It was cool and dark outside , you felt Konig lift you off of him and you looked at him as he held you outwards and set you down on the ground carefully . you stood up and you looked up to see a giant glowing orb .
'' I've seen that thing many times before , I always thought it was so cool ,.... I just don't know the name of it .''
You spoke sheepishly while taking in the amazing sight you've grown to love .
'' it's called a moon . its a planet that lives in our solar system .''
Konig chuckled .
'' wwwooooooooww.''
You said while looking at it in amazement .
You looked and you felt the cold breeze hit your legs and you shuddered from the cold feeling. Konig giggled and he took off his hood and he slipped it over you . the hood reached close to your ankles and was way bigger than you  . you wrapped yourself in it and giggled at the nice warm feeling .
'' thank you ...wont you be cold though ?.''
You said a bit sadly .
'' don't worry about it ill be fine plus i enjoy the cold at times .''
Konig chuckled .
You hummed and you sat down on the floor and layed on it facing the sky .
'' lie down i wanna tell you some things .''
You said quietly and konig obliged and he laid down next to you looking up at the sky .
'' when i was living between  two places Ghost called it an allway , i used to do this at night thinking about when id find someone to be with me and ne ,my friend .''
You said while looking at the stars taking in the moment .
Konig frowned under his mask a bit . He felt bad for you . He didn't want you to go through that; he wanted to just  see you do what all normal kids did . He turned to you and you looked at him with a smile .
'' but now i don't have to think because i have you and the others .''
You smiled while looking back up at the stars .
Konig smiled at those words , it made him think back to his family at home in Austria .
'' what you had said about a mom and dad ...those things it made me think and wonder and you know what i think your like well.....my dad .''
You said quietly .
Konigs eyes widened .
He never thought you would say that ever to him.
'' well y/n , i consider you family as well .''
He said a bit nervously .
You had grown so attached to them all, especially Konig . you thought of him as your father figure and you had grown quite fond of him. You both lied there , looking at the sky and enjoying the silence and each other's company.
It wasn't long till you saw ghost at the door looking through it . You looked up and you quickly got up and opened the door.
" Can we come in now ? ."
You asked curiously .
" yeah me and konig need to discuss something since the others already know so  inside ..."
Ghost said quietly but a little sternly.
You noticed this and you didn't question it and you stepped inside.konig stood up and looked down at Ghost and then back to you as he watched you walk Down the hallway. Once you were finally out of the area Ghost closed the balcony door and looked to Konig .
" There after her , they found us and they might be coming here . There's no point in relocating since they'll just find us again so were going to have to wait till they come to us , in the meantime you keep a good eye on the kid and we'll see what the fuck is going on ."
Ghost said sternly and then walked inside .
Konig  took a moment to take in the information he was getting .
'' a-alright ..''
Konig spoke quietly and nervously .
'' inside alright .''
Problems were getting bigger and you didn't even know , they didn't tell you cause they didn't want you to worry you . It was only a matter of time until all hell breaks loose and this is just the mere beginning but there was a snake running about  but soon there's gonna be a coyote  to catch that snake . they didn't know it was coming but they knew they were ready .
