Chapter twelve

A/n - I hope you enjoy this chapter and I'm sorry if it's a little short but I'll update again tomorrow :)

You woke up to a loud sound and you noticed that you weren't in the humvee Anymore. You looked up to see that you were in Ghost's arm and you were in some sort of plane and that it was nighttime  . You got up gently causing Ghost to look down at you .
" don't worry , we're heading to another base ."
He said and you sighed in relief. Soap and the others were asleep and resting and you'll feel your head to see that you were wearing Ghosts headset . You looked over to him and shot  him a tiny smile. He kept his arms around you , protecting you in a way and he didn't know he could . König rested as well, just leaving the oddly comforting sound of the helicopter. You looked out the window and saw that you weren't in the ground which made you look at Ghost in a strange way, you panicked looking around quickly and ghost rubbed your shoulder to try and ease you.
" don't worry we're safe, nothing will happen ."
He said gently .
' that's if we don't get shot down '
He thought .
" Why are we so high up? "
You said nervously .
" Well planes and helicopters make traveling a bit easier and it's less likely to get stopped and caught if ever on a mission ."
Ghost said simply .
" oh...I don't like it .."
You said quietly .
" don't worry, you'll get used to it ."
Ghost said while calming you down .
You let out a shaky breath and clung onto Ghost causing him to chuckle .  The helicopter ride went smooth and you started near the landing pad near base 190 . You hear the pilot through Ghosts headset that you were wearing and he said that you were landing in about a few minutes.
" we're landing soon ."
You said in an odd way almost as if you didn't understand .
" Alright , Oi big boy, wake up ."
Ghost said towards König causing him to get startled and look around . Ghost chuckled at this and you let out a tiny giggle . König rubbed the side of his head and he adjusted his helmet . It wasn't long before you had come across a giant H on the floor and you had started to land . The helicopter rocked a bit but it wasn't long before you were safe on the ground . The helicopter door opened and König grabbed the bags and everyone got up and they headed outside . Ghost helped you out of the chopper .The pilot headed off and you looked up to see the starry night sky . You were met with an earthy warm smell and the warm breeze of the upper regions of New Mexico. You looked ahead to see a big cabin . Ghost looked down at you and offered you his hand and you took it and you started to walk in . You walked towards the cabin door and Price was the first one in . You entered with hesitation and looked around . You saw two  deep brown couches along with a small hangout table with a kitchen near the living room. There was a tv also known as the glowing box by you. You looked down the hallway past the kitchen and saw 7 doors which indicated the rooms everyone was staying in . König sat down a bag in front of each door basically where your bag was out, that was your assigned room . You didn't have much belongings but the gear that you wore and desperately  wanted to get out of and some clothes the others had lent You unclasped your vest and you set your gear next to the door . Soap and the others went down the hallways and stepped in the room . Price had told them wordlessly to head off to bed which this left you alone with König and Ghost. Ghost took out a pair of shorts and an oversized shirt and he handed it to you .
" change into these and it lights out okay . "
He spoke and pointed to the bathroom at the end of the hall . You nodded and you walked towards the bathroom and you shut the door . You took off your boots and threw them in a corner and you took off all your clothes quickly . The cold air hit your skin causing you to get goosebumps and you shivered from the air . You threw on the shorts and shirt and you looked in the mirror and saw that the shirt was most definitely Ghosts. You didn't mind it and you took your dirty clothes and picked them up and walked out of the bathroom and you saw Ghost waiting for you .
He handed you a small crate which he set down and he took your clothes gently and he put them in the crate along with your boots.
" thank you ghost ."
You said with a tiny smile and Ghost nodded .
" I'm heading to bed okay , night kid and lights out . Also that room next to mine is yours so check it out ."
He said while ruffling your hair .
König said goodnight to you as well leaving you alone in the living room but you stepped into the hallway curiously and you stepped in front of your door . You opened it to see a bed and a little desk alone with a bathroom in your room . You didn't want to sleep alone nor be alone so you had an idea . König was already asleep along with the others so you took this as an opportunity you struggled and dragged your mattress off your bed frame and you dragged it into Königs room .
You had opened his door quietly and you set the mattress down next to his bed . You looked up to see him sleeping soundly. You ran back into your room and grabbed the pillow and blanket that was in the floor and you ran back into Königs room and closed the door and laid down and got comfortable. You enjoyed being with König and his presence calmed you . It wasn't long before you drifted into a sleep feeling safe at last .
