Chapter 3: Heartbroken

          "Welcome sir". The receptionist greeted me to which I nodded and left for my dad's office.

Immediately I got to the entrance, the man at the front was one of the warriors of the pack so he just bowed and opened the door for me.

"Hey dad." I greeted when I got inside and sat on a chair. "Hey Dan. How was your day? Anything your old man needs to know?" He asked.

"Not bad. I found mate today." I told him absentmindedly. "Wow that's good news." He said.

"Yeah I wish." I mumbled but very sure he heard. "What seems to be the problem?" He asked ignoring the pile of paper works in front of him.

Advantage of being the most loved child.
I wanted to tell him about it but I knew he would tell Michael and he would see me as a weakling so I decided against the idea.

He urged me to tell him about it and when I saw he wouldn't drop the topic, I just stood up, pocked my bag and left.

I drove to my secret spot and when I was there, I stopped and screamed at the top of my voice.

I cried my heart out until there was nothing else. My eyes were swollen and red from all the crying.

After I was sure I was partially okay, I went back home. It was already past dinner time.

Michaels scent was faint which meant he was still out having fun with his friends.

When I got in, everyone had finished dinner and nobody was at the sitting room. I decided to go get a snack in the kitchen since I was hungry and I snuck since everyone has slept or so I thought.

Immediately I got to the kitchen to get something to eat, the lights came on which revealed a worried looking dad.

I immediately tried to leave but... "Daniel." Dad said in a husky voice which made me freeze. "Where have you been?" He asked.

I didn't answer him. "Answer me when I'm talking to you and always look at me." He said which gave me an hint that he wasn't in a good mood.

I faced him and said "I was out." He looked at me expecting more but nothing came. "Where and doing what?"

I couldn't do anything and just said "Dad please I know you are worried about me but trust me I'm fine and I'm not ready to talk about my mate."

"I'm okay says the person with red eyeballs which are obviously from crying." I signed knowing I lost again.

"I know things are difficult now but you don't have to go through it alone. I'm here for you."He said to me.

I just nodded, got something to eat and left.
