Chapter 6: The prophecy

          I took it and read through it. Turns out it was a prophecy written centuries ago. It talked about two nations being born at the same time.

A black wolf and a white wolf. It also talked about a war happening between the two wolves.

I began feeling worried. I took the scroll, asked the lady in charge of the library of my could take the scroll home.

"Sure alpha. You can take it. Just be sure to return it soon." She said to me. I was very happy I sped out of the library really fast to my dad's office.

I was so engrossed in my thoughts I forgot to knock. I just barged in and luckily I met my dad and mum in a conversation which they quickly wrapped up immediately I came in.

I decided to ignore them and showed them the scroll. "I saw this in the library while studying today. What do you think about it?" I asked them.

They looked pale which showed that they knew something about it.

"Mom, dad is there something you are not telling me?" I asked them suspiciously. "Look Daniel. We can't tell you this alone. We would talk about this over dinner when your brother is around."

"Ok." I said not looking worried even though I was crazily worried.

Immediately I got out, I decided to eavesdrop. "It can't be." I heard mum sobbing. "I know I just didn't expect the prophecy to come to pass now. We all thought it wasn't coming to pass again after that long." Dad said.

I was so worried so I decided to go and practice more on shifting which was really painful but after some time, I got used to it.

When it was time for dinner, I was really early and after some five minutes, Michael joined us.

Everywhere was creepily silent except the sound of our spoons and plates. When nobody talked, I decided to say something.

"Um, mum, dad, I think you wanted to tell us something." I said and I could see mum crying silently.

"Ugh, what did we do this time. I didn't even speak to this brat throughout today so what do we have to hear now? " Michael said which made me unusually angry.

" Well why don't you brat stay home sometimes and act responsibly instead of going up and down drinking, smoking and snatching people's mates." I said not knowing how red my eyes were.

He looked scared and tried to hide it but I told him again." You don't need to hide the fact that you are scared and I am no longer scared of you. All you do is bring shame to this family yet you calle a disgrace. You are more than a disgrace." I spat.

"Boys you don't have to fight over the dinner table." Dad said but we kept staring daggers at each other.

My eyes were as red as the flames from hell while his eyes were blue. When dad saw that we were not answering him, he spoke to is in his alpha voice.

"STOP IT NOW YOU TWO." I didn't seem affected but Michael was obviously shivering. "I guess we would have to discuss what we initially wanted to discuss tomorrow after school." He said and with that, I left the table.
