Chapter 18: What do you think about my phoenix?

Michael's pov
          "You couldn't catch just an angel. Imagine if we were to wage war against them. You guys would be useless." I blasted at my pack members.

They cowered in fear and showed their necks as a sign of submission. I was really angry but I had another plan.

'Hey mike. Prepare the bird. We are going home and I'm sure Daniel would have told them we are rogues. ' I told my wolf.

'Sure.' He replied. "Go and tell the warriors to get ready. We are going to get her back.

" Yes alpha. " They said before leaving. The rest of the day wasn't eventful. I had a good time with my mate and did a little paperwork.

The next day, I left with my warriors of almost ninety in number ready to attack them without knowing even though i can feel that they are planning something.

Daniel's pov.
          I know Michael would do something stupid like bringing a lot of people to come and fight against us so immediately it was morning, I contacted close by alpha's that I needed their help with some warriors.

When the other warriors arrived and we totaled them with our warriors, we were almost three hundred.

I was happy and just waited for my dumb brother to arrive.

I went to check on Hanna in her room, she looked exhausted like she didn't get enough sleep so I told her to come have breakfast and get some rest to which she agreed.

After breakfast,I was walking Hanna to her room when my nose caught the scent of Michael and all his wolves.

I quickly dismissed myself and mind linked my  warriors to get ready. I went outside and saw Michael shifting back.

"Took you long enough to come back home." I told him. He just laughed and looked at me like he had something planned.

"Sure. I had some pack business to attend. I come in peace. Just hand over the lady." He said.

"You know that's not possible." I growled. "Well, if so, you leave me no choice." With that, his warriors came rushing towards the pack house.

'Attack. ' I yelled through the pack link and all the warriors started attacking.

I shifted and wanted to attack Michael but was blocked by about five wolves. They were quite strong and from their scents, they all lost their mates.

After killing them, I looked for Michael but unfortunately, I was hot by a fireball which burnt the fur on my left side and it wasn't healing on time.

When I saw Michael, he had a giant phoenix beside him. He gave me a wolf grin which I gladly returned before calling my snake forth.

He looked at me shocked but I didn't give a fuck. 'Kill the bird. ' I said to my snake while I went for Michael but was met with lots of fireballs. I had to get back to prevent excess damage.

By this time, I saw that more than half of the rogues were dead and my parents were fending off the rest.

'What do you think about my phoenix? ' He asked through the link we shared. 'I think it looks like a maltreated dragon. ' I said which infuriated him.

He ran towards me and I did the same. We were in a bloody mess after about five minutes but my wounds healed faster than his.

He tried contacting his pack with the look on his face but they were long gone.

I wanted to attack him again when I felt a sharp pain in my chest. I didn't know what happened so I decided to link mum.

'Mum please can you check on Hanna. ' she went to check on her and said she was okay.

I was relieved because I didn't want to loose her now but I still didn't know what the pain was.

While I was wallowing in pain, Michael took that chance to attack me. He bit my neck which made me howl.

I tried to get out of his grip but it was very tight. I clawed his side which made him roar and release me.

I got away and unusually, my wounds were not healing. I was confused. It was then my eyes caught the sight of my snake.

He was not in good shape. He was dying and that was when it struck me. We shared the same soul so if he does, I die which meant he was on the brick of death.

I was really weak but when I saw that the phoenix was about to strike it again, I jumped in between them and tore the phoenix's head off.

It was really difficult and hot. I also saw Michael gasping for air and crying in pain but I ignored it but since I wanted to kill h myself, I released the phoenix and went over to Michael.

I bit his neck really hard and started yanking on it. He was clawing on me but I wasn't ready to give up.

My wounds weren't healing but I didn't care. I was about to pull his head off when I felt pain all over my body.

I howled and howled loudly. I didn't realize what was happening until Michael slit my throat. It was then I blacked out and I knew I wasn't waking up again.
