Daya sighed as she waited for a response from Bosco. She was completely embarrassed by the interaction earlier. She should've known just walking right up to a fan and complimenting them wouldn't go as planned. She should've just asked Angie for her social media and had gone from there.

Now the image of Bosco wouldn't get out of her head. She was sure she wasn't always like that. She had just made her incredibly nervous and shy. And she felt extremely bad about it. Daya groaned quietly, turning over on the hotel bed and shoving her head into her pillow.

Her thoughts were interrupted by quick knocking on the door, knocking that she immediately recognized to be Deja's before her manager even spoke. "Daya! We have a problem!"

Daya sighed and pulled herself out of the bed, not before checking for a response from Bosco. There was none. She walked over and opened the door for Deja, rubbing her eyes. "What song did Lux leak now?"

Deja just walked into the room right past her. "News got out that you and your ex unfollowed each other on all social media." She said. "...Again."

Daya shook her head as she closed the door. "What was I supposed to do? I wasn't just going to keep following her."

The fact that Daya's cheating ex was pretty well known didn't help the situation. She was a model who Daya had met through Crystal's girlfriend, Gigi. They had instantly clicked during a photoshoot. At least Daya thought they had. Besides the cheating, they had an on again off again relationship for way too long and it left Daya feeling so drained. She had even seen fan pages that pointed out how strange and toxic the relationship was, and she was embarrassed that even they saw that so clearly before she did.

"But that's not the main problem." Deja continued. "The main problem is you're going to be asked about this stuff in interviews now and you don't know how to watch your mouth."

Daya slumped down on the couch, really not wanting to talk about this. It was the same conversation everytime her and her ex broke up. "If people are gonna assume things then I need to defend myself, Deja."

"And then the things you say get you and the others doxxed." Deja sighed. "Yet you still run right back to that girl no matter what she does."

Daya froze, looking down at her hands. That hit her a little too hard. Deja had been pissed with her when she went back to her ex after that incident. Daya didn't even know why she always went back to her after all the shit she put her through. The cheating was one thing, but leaking their home addresses was another. Crystal and Lux hadn't been very pleased about her still getting back together with her either. She had been caught in a toxic cycle that she was determined to get out of.

Daya blinked back tears. "I'm sorry..." She whispered quietly. "I'm not going back to her anymore..."

Deja watched her for a moment before sitting beside her. "I don't mean to sound harsh." She said softly. "But you know you deserve better. And you have young impressionable fans who will see that sort of relationship and thinks it's okay."

Daya was quiet. She didn't quite agree that she deserved better. Despite her status and all the adoring fans the band had, part of her felt empty. Behind her tough demeanor she felt like she had just been broken down. She couldn't blame anyone but herself for that. She was the one who kept going back to that relationship.

When she didn't respond, Deja stood up and took it as her sign to leave. "We have a few more days till we're back on the road." She said. "Use them to relax."

Daya nodded a little. She sat alone in silence after Deja had left the room. She didn't like the tone she had used when reminding her how she always ran back to her ex. It made Daya feel anxious and small, like a child being scolded by their mother. She bit her lip as she grabbed her phone. There was always one thing that helped her temporarily feel better when she got this way.
