Daya couldn't sleep. She usually found it easy to fall asleep on the tour bus, but she just couldn't tonight. Her mind was racing with thoughts as she held Bosco tightly in her arms, starting to get nervous about what was waiting at the next hotel.
She knew she had fallen in love with Bosco, but she was terrified. The last time she let herself be vulnerable with someone, she got hurt. Many times. And she always ran back to the one who hurt her. Daya hated being stuck in that cycle, but when it came to relationships, that's all she knew. This was all new to her. She wanted love and she wanted to give love, even though she was scared of potential heartbreak.
Her thoughts were starting to make her second guess what she wanted to do, until she looked down at Bosco. She fit so perfectly in her arms and seemed so peaceful and pure. Her lips were parted as she slept, and Daya couldn't help but softly brush her own against them. She felt like she was holding a little angel. Her own little angel. She couldn't let go of her.
"...I love you." She whispered quietly, even if Bosco couldn't hear her. She pulled the blanket up closer around them and snuggled her closer. "You have no idea what you've done for me."
As time on the road went by, Daya laid awake with song lyrics running through her head. Ones that weren't about the pain she went through with her ex. This time they were about what Bosco made her feel.
It was early morning when they arrived at the hotel, early enough for there to not be a crowd surrounding the entrance this time. Daya sighed in relief when Deja gave her that news. She didn't want to force Bosco to deal with that so early in the morning.
She was free to carry her into the hotel, even though it earned her teasing looks from Crystal and Lux as they watched her lift Bosco out of her bunk.
"Little clingy there, aren't you Daya?" Crystal asked, slipping one of her jackets onto Gigi.
Daya raised a brow, adjusting Bosco in her arms so the smaller girl could rest her head in the crook of her neck. "Something tells me you have no room to talk."
Lux laughed, making Crystal blush as Daya smiled and made her way off of the bus. Bosco shivered when the cold air outside hit her, snuggling closer to Daya for warmth. "Daya..."
"It's alright, I've got you." Daya kissed her cheek, following two security guards closely as they led her into the hotel. Bosco opened her eyes a little, her hands tangling into the collar of Daya's shirt.
"Early..." She whispered, nuzzling her head closer against Daya's neck.
"I know, baby. I know. You can go back to sleep in the room." Daya said, heart pounding in her chest when she thought about the room. She thanked the security guard who held the door open for her, her arms tightening protectively around Bosco.
She was handed the room key, looking down at it nervously. Crystal and Lux gave her a confused look when they were all in the elevator.
"You're a few floors above us this time?" Crystal asked through a yawn, one arm secured around a tired Gigi's waist.
Daya nodded, resting her head on top of Bosco's. "I guess so, yeah."
She left it at that. They didn't need to know why that was the case. She watched them leave to their own floors before Bosco raised her head a little, one of her hands gently pawing at Daya's cheek. "Your heart's beating really fast..." She said quietly. "Usually mine is the one that does that. Is everything okay?"
"Everything's perfect, I promise." Daya pecked her forehead lightly, carrying her out of the elevator when they reached their floor. She only placed her down so she could unlock the door to the room, pushing the door open when there was the sound of something falling and someone squeaking from down the hall.
