"Woah! Momo, you're so cool!" A four-year-old Hina was outside watching her twin sister make Matryoshka Dolls. Momo had just gotten her Quirk a few days ago, so she was learning how to use it. Hina plucks the doll from her sister outstretched hand, pulling the upper part of the doll off and giggling as she sees the smaller doll inside.
"Thanks, Hina!" Momo grins proudly, placing her hands on her hips and standing like All Might. She giggles as she creates another Matryoshka Doll. "There. Now we both have one!" Momo holds both of her hands flat with the doll lying on them, causing Hina to do the same. Both girls start having a giggle fit, and they tumble onto the grass together, each hold the other in her arms.
Hina sighs as the two of them stop giggling. "Hey, Momo?" she asks.
"Hmm?" Momo hums back, casting her eyes to the bright blue sky with puffy white clouds.
Hina hesitates before asking, "When do you think I'll get my Quirk? I mean, you just got yours, but we're twins, so why didn't I get my Quirk at the same time as you? Do you think I'll be Quirkless?" Hina babbles on a bit, grabbing a handful of her masterfully curled, elbow-length black hair.
Momo turns to face her sister, leaning on her elbow. "I think you'll get your Quirk soon. We're twins, yes, but we're still different people, right? At least, I don't think we have the same brain and body, do we?" she pokes Hina's midsection, giggling a little as she swats her hand away. "Don't worry. I'm sure you'll get your Quirk any second now." Momo states firmly. A sly smiles breaks out on her face as she thinks of something. "It'll come in 3... 2... 1... Now!"
Nothing happens.
"3... 2... 1... NOW!"
Hina fights a smile, trying not to let it show on her face.
"3... 2... 1... NOW!" Momo breaks out in giggles again, sitting up and holding her stomach. Hina joins her, and giggles wrack the two girls as they continue to try to guess when Hina's Quirk will show itself.
"3... 2... 1... Now!" Suddenly, Momo's hit by a wave of heat as Hina yells 'Now'.
"Hot! Hot hot hot!" Momo rolls away in the grass. She stares into Hina's confused yellow and pink eyes, her own eyes wide. "Did you just do that?"
"Do what?" Hina doesn't feel a difference, but she looks around her. "Woah! MOOOOMM!! MOMO'S MATRYOSHKA DOLL MELTED!!" she yells as she notices the melted doll in her hands. Her face goes sad as she realizes the she can't play with the doll anymore.
Kanaho Yayorozu rushes out of the house in a wine-colored turtleneck sweater dress, her short black hair framing her face. She spots the melted doll in her daughter's hands, and hurries over to her.
"Careful! Don't hold melted plastic. You'll burn yourself." Kanaho carefully picks up the deformed doll, turning to look at Momo. "Did you create matches and melt the doll?" she asks, confused and concerned.
Momo shakes her head. "No. I only created the Matryoshka Dolls. It just suddenly got really hot, and now the doll's melted." She looks at Hina, confused.
Kanaho turns back to Hina, placing a hand on her forehead. She withdraws it quickly, her eyes wide. "Daiki! Will you grab my coat? I think we need to take Hina to the hospital!" she calls out to her husband, scooping Hina up like a newborn. "C'mon, Momo. We're taking your sister to the hospital." Kanaho gestures for Momo to follow her and Hina, heading to one of the butlers and requestion the car be made ready for them.
"But why? I feel fine!" Hina protests. "Let me down, and I can do 20 jumping jacks!" she brags a little, wanting to prove it to her mom.
Kanaho shakes her head. "No, Hina. Just because you don't feel it now doesn't mean you're not sick. Your forehead's really hot; I'm sure you're sick." Her eyebrows furrow as Daiki comes out in a suit, his wife's white collared coat thrown over his shoulder. He walks over to the trio, picking Momo up and placing her on his hip.
