Hina was leaning against the head of her hospital bed, looking out the window while the sky turned a very pale pink and orange. The sun was working its way toward the horizon, getting ready to set. Momo and her parents were talking with her doctor outside her room. Hina longed to talk with her family, to be held in their arms again, but the doctors wanted to monitor her. She'd been freed from the Quirk suppressor, but because the changes the villain made to her were mostly an unknown variable, she couldn't be allowed to see them. For their safety, mostly, but also for her own. If she accidentally hurt her family...
Hina shakes her head as her thoughts travel in an unwanted direction again. She could feel about 5,000 volts of electricity--static electricity--start to gather in her horns. Her shoulders sag as she realizes that this was just one of the changes the villain had wrought in her. She looks down at the bed, now.
"KATSUKI! QUIET DOWN, THIS IS A HOSPITAL!"
Hina's head snaps up at the sudden yell, and she looks out the indoor window into the hallway. Katsuki? Her eyes widen. Bakugou-san? Bakugou-kun? What are they doing here?
"DON'T TELL ME WHAT TO DO OLD HAG!! BESIDES, YOU'RE AS LOUD AS I AM!"
"SHUT UP, YOU BRAT!"
Hina can't help but chuckle a little at the familiarity of their arguing. How did they even know I was here, though? Did Mom or Dad tell Bakugou-san? She questions, her eyebrows furrowing slightly.
She hears stomping coming closer and assumes it's Bakugou-kun.
"Oi, what is everyone standing outside the room for?" Katsuki's voice is loud as he enters Hina's line of sight, and she sees him stuff his hands in his pockets through the windows, a slight frown on his face.
Mitsuki enters Hina's line of sight as well, behind Katsuki.
"I would've assumed you'd all be crowding around Hina-chan by now. Is there something wrong?" Hina catches a some of Mitsuki's words, though muffled, as she glances at Hina through the window.
Hina's cheeks pink lightly as she catches her staring, but she smiles and waves a little. Relief pours into her as Mitsuki waves back with a smile of her own.
Katsuki glances at Hina through the corner of his eye with an obvious 'Tch.' Hina chuckles a little.
Well, that's Bakugou-kun. Can't expect him to change too terribly much while I'm gone, can I? She shrugs. I'm glad he's here, though. I wonder if it was his idea to visit or if Bakugou-san had to drag him along? She questions to herself, tilting her head to the right a little.
She sees her parents respond to Mitsuki and Katsuki, and though she can't really hear them, she can guess at what they're saying. She sighs, looking down at the bed. Her lower lip quivers slightly, so she pinches herself, hoping to keep from crying.
"So what?" Katsuki doesn't both to quiet down, even when his mother smacks him on the head with a 'Lower your voice!' "I don't care if she could lose control. It's not like she can actually hurt me, anyway." He smirks, turning his head to watch Hina.
Hina smiles a little. I'm sure I could, but I don't want to hurt him. What I want isn't necessarily what's going to happen, though. She sighs, shaking her head slightly.
"Besides, she's strong mentally." He continues. "Resilient, headstrong, and resolute. There's no way she'd let herself go out of control if it's even possible in the first place!"
Hina's eyes widen, and she looks up at him. Bakugou-kun complementing ME? Small tears well up in her eyes. Bakugou-kun... Thank you. She smiles a wobbly smile, wiping at her tears with her palms.
