Filch led us to Professor McGongall's office. Hermione and Harry were having mini panic attacks. I was very calm thinking about a beautiful little cover story. McGongall came in with Neville behind her.

"Oh, Neville." I sighed.

"I came to warn you Draco said you had a dra-" Neville said.

"I see how it is. You fed Malfoy some bull-cock story about a dragon hoping to get him in trouble. Neville overheard and-" She ranted. Her voice drifted away as I swayed slightly. I images in flashes: a stone, a mirror, and a snake. I felt like I wasn't myself as I heard myself speak.

"A stone, a mirror, a snake awakens from the body of a worm." I said. McGongall looked at me in shock.

"I feel woozy." I said faintly as I fell. Harry caught me. I straightened myself and leaned on Harry.

"Fifty points each, except for Avery." McGongall said. Hermione helped me into my room. I felt fine after a while. I was furious that everyone was nice to me but not Harry. I threatened to do the killing curse. But I was told not to, by Harry.  We all got notes for detention. We met Filch and he took us down the path talking about past torture methods for punishment. I heard Hagrid and began to skip down the path.

"Don't be so happy, you're going in the forest." Filch said.

"Think I care, old man?" I said skipping down the path. I hugged Hagrid and pet Fang.

"What are we doing?" Harry asked.

"Going to investigate some unicorn deaths." Hagrid said.

"Someone's killing unicorns?" Hermione gasped.

"It'll be like a crime show." I said.

"My father will here about-" Draco began to say.

"SHUT UP, MALFOY!" Everyone of us screamed.

"Avery, Neville , and Draco you go with Fang." Hagrid said.

"Hermione, Harry you come with me." Hagrid said. Th three of us were walking along. I was desperately trying to block out Draco's whining. Neville flashed a red single like he told us to do when you're in danger. He took Neville and we went on. As we walked I saw a man lean over a white unicorn. I put a hand on Harry to stop him from moving while the figure began to drink it's blood. Draco screamed and ran off. The figure turned and walked slowly toward us. Harry doubled over clutching his head moaning.

"Harry, what's wr-?" I asked. Pain began searing through me I crumpled to the ground I watched hooves fly over my head.  A centaurs stood there in all his hoof glory. I pulled myself up; then helped Harry.

"You're the Potter boy. Get on my back we must leave quickly you too Duchess. My name is Firenze." Firenze said. We both climbed up. Two centaurs came in view.

"Have you no pride-!" One if the centaurs said.

"Will you shut up! Enough with the star nonsense. If you don't help the humans. Voldemort will take over, and you'll be too dead to see the stars." I said.

"You're a Duchess they speak to you too." The other one said in a sad voice.

"Yeah, Mars says to get your head out of your arse and see." I said. Firenze turned and left.

"Why was Bane so angry?" Harry asked when we reached a group of trees.

"Do you know what unicorn blood does?" He asked.

"No, we've only used the tail or horn in potions" Harry said.

"Duchess I know you know, explain." Firenze said.

"Unicorn blood gives you a half life a cursed life the moment the blood touches your lips. You will be punished for killing something so pure so innocent." I explained.

"Why would someone do that?" Harry asked.

Firenze, Voldemort is back, I know. He never really died. I've had visions about him. I know that there will be a price to pay." I said softly.

"The Duchess descendants always know, child. It's the price with knowing the future constantly." Firenze said. Hagrid came in with Hermione, Neville, and Draco. I spaced out til we got back in the common room.

"Snape wants the stone for Voldemort." Harry began to say his thoughts as he paced.

"Stop saying his name!" Ron said.

"Stop whimpering every time it is spoken. The name has no power unless you give it power. And I am not afraid of him. We're going through the trap door." I said.
