It wasn't the same when Lucy knew Tim wasn't around set, but she still made the best of it and tried not to keep searching for him around the lot. Exhausted from all of the stunt work and grateful for the one hour break, she shuffled into her trailer.
She rubbed at her eyes just to be sure she wasn't imagining Tim seated on the couch in her trailer with a smirk on his face.
"What are you doing here?" She asked with glee.
"Hello to you, too," he mocked.
She clicked her tongue feigning annoyance and sat in his lap, throwing her arms around his neck. "Hi, baby," she said softly and kissed him lightly. He opened his mouth to deepen the kiss, and she pulled away. "I really am happy you're here, but I am way too tired right now."
"I figured you would be, which is why I wasn't planning on coming to set."
"Well, then why did you come?"
He squeezed her a little tighter and said, "I had nothing better to do."
"Yeah, you're so lame without me."
"Okay, you need a nap. Stop wasting time making fun of me."
"You're right. Thanks for coming," she shimmied to try to get up from his lap, but he held her back.
"I'm staying right here," he said softly.
She gave him those eyes filled with affection and nestled her head in the crook of his neck as her body relaxed into him. He mindlessly drew circles on her thigh and watched her drift easily to sleep as the exhaustion took over. Before he could stop himself, he whispered, "I love you," and panicked as he made sure she was still asleep, which thankfully she was.
When she woke up to her phone alarm, she looked up to see that Tim was just holding her. He hadn't slept. He hadn't moved. He just sat there with her in his arms.
"That was seriously the best nap ever."
"You drool a little in your sleep," he chuckled and wiped her face.
"Shut up," she laughed and rubbed at the corners of her mouth to make sure all the drool was gone.
"It's adorable."
He meant it. That's what made her chest feel warm. "I have to get back to work."
"Of course. I'll see you tomorrow"
She swung her legs and sprung up, then, she turned around and pecked his cheek.
He grinned while he watched her go, and he knew that one hour with her was the best part of his day.
••••••••••
It was fake date time. Tim and Lucy needed to be photographed entering a movie theatre where they went to "see" another Sparks Studios movie.
On their way into the theatre, they held hands and smiled while cameras flashed. They talked about their upcoming movie and told the paparazzi what movie they were going to see. They walked inside and waited in the lobby for about 5 minutes before walking out and heading down the street to Tim's truck.
"You were great, babe," he complemented and started the car.
"That thing you said about how you can't wait for people to see 'Galactic Wars' because it's the perfect date night movie was GENIUS. Jackson will be thrilled."
"Hope so. By the time the pictures are posted, we'll be busy."
"Doing what exactly?"
"Oh, you'll see," he gave her a mischievous grin as he navigated down roads she wasn't familiar with.
