The sun had set and we just finished our meal
"Father may I go to the beach for a while?" I asked
"Okay but be careful"
"Thank you, I'll be back soon" I said running out
I made it to the beach but I didn't see Ao'nung anywhere, I sat on the shore with my feet in the glowing water
That's when I saw Ao'nung pop out of the water, the water glistened down his body
"Uhmm" he coughed making me look up at him and he was smirking
I felt flustered and hot, these feelings be gives me confuse me, I don't know what to do with them it's so new to me
"Sorry um we should start" i said as he sat next to me
We did a bit of practice then we took a break and got to know eachother
"Soooo what's it like being the chiefs son?" I asked
"It has its ups and downs, on one hand I get more than others sometimes but in the other I have the weight of being the next chief and always having to be perfect" he said and I could hear the stress
"You're perfect the way you are Ao'nung, I understand how you feel though, my family loves me and I know that but I have this feeling that since I'm not their biological child I won't be everything they want"
"I'm sure they cherish you, how could they not you're kind and beautiful, if anything you're the perfect one, look at you, your big yellow eyes, your blue skin, and even your five fingers, everything about you is wonderful don't doubt yourself" he said making my heart beat fast
"I have to be honest, I don't know what I'm suppose to do with these feelings, I've never felt this way before"
"What do you feel?" He asked as he lauded his head against mine, our lips so close
"You.....you make me feel amazing, when I see you I'm happy and it's like all my doubts are gone, my heart beats fast when I'm thinking of you, what is this?" I whispered
"You like me" he smiled
"Ya of course I like you but I didn't feel this to other people I like" I said confused
"No I mean this is how you feel when Eywa has chosen you to be mated, that's what father said, I feel the same about you" he then placed his hand against my neck
"How do we know that we are meant to be?"
"We should ask our parents they might know more"
"But won't your mom know something is going on?"
"I'll just talk to my father, I trust him"
Then we just stayed there in the moment
"I don't wanna go home yet" I said
"Then stay with me.....kiss me" he said and I felt my heart explode
He leaned in and our lips touched, it was quick but sweet for my first kiss
"Was that your first?" He asked
"Yes was it that obvious"
"No you were great, it was mine first too, but I must go now mother will become suspicious" he said standing up with me
"I'll see you tomorrow Ao'nung" I smiled
"Till tomorrow" then he was gone into the water again
