"My sweet daughter what is wrong?" She asked as she pulled me in for a comforting hug
"I don't know what to do mama, I thought Ao'nung loved me but the way he let that girl....." I sighed feeling the tears well up in my eyes again
"Y/n you have to let him talk to you, maybe it was a misunderstanding, if you really thought you had a connection maybe your feeling was right and that girl was the problem, you have talk thing through child" she said as she held me tight and then I she was gone and when I opened my eyes I was back to the mother tree, running out of breath I swam quickly to the surface gasping for air
I swam over to the shore and laid on the sand just thinking of everything she said, maybe it was all a misunderstanding and my own jealousy clouded my judgement
I sighed rubbing my eyes as I walked back into the water calling out for my Ilu which quickly appeared
"Let's go home now" I said as I held on it harness and we were off
By the time we got back home the sun was setting and I could see my family frantic along with Ao'nung
I slid off my Ilu and re-emerged on the beach
"Y/n my child where have you been?" Mom asked as she pulled me into her chest
"I'm sorry mom, I just needed to be alone"
She pulled back and looked at me with sad knowing eyes
"Y/n I'm so sorry, please just let me explain" Ao'nung said from beside me
I looked at him and the worry and hurt in his eyes convinced me to hear what he had to say
"Okay, come on"
"Will you be alright sis?" Neteyam asked
"I'll be okay brother, I'll be home soon" I said as I hugged him before I walked further down the beach with Ao'nung on my tail
