That morning after the party I heard a knock at my door.

Albi.

"Gemma, have you taken your pendant off?" He says through the slat on my door.
I swiftly walk over with my hair flowing around me. I had missed being so graceful. I curl my back to lean near the slat and show my eyes through it.
He steps back in shock.
"When will you be putting it back on?" He quakes.
I shake my head laughing under my breath. "I do not want to."

The slat closes and I hear him talk to someone behind him. I knew who it was, I could smell him from a mile away.
Deecon.
Pendant state me would strike him from the pain he inflicted on Franco. Starzithian me? I wanted to drop him from the tallest mountain.

My emotions may be more in control but my thoughts of his ruin were more intricate.

My fingers glow as I wield gravity to rip the slat open again.
"You." I snarl in Deecon's direction.
I see his lower half take a couple steps back from the door.
"I don't have time for this." I hear him whisper to Albi.
I cackle at his fear seeping out of him. He was scared of me in this state.

"What's the matter Deecon? I'm locked in my cage. The best thing for you right now."
He takes a couple steps towards the door and pounds at the side of it. He still doesn't want to talk to me. Still doesn't want to mutter a single word in my direction.

I wanted to steal every word he could ever say again. He begins to walk away but stops in his tracks as I say through the slat.

"You made me believe Franco wanted nothing to do with me... when you were the one who beat him senseless for touching me."

I hear his steps charge towards the door.
"Let me in." He barks at Albi.
"No, its too dangerous." He protests.
I grin from the open slat "Let him in, Albi. I will not kill him.. It would be too easy of a punishment."
A few seconds go by of silence and I grow impatient. I was in my own cage and I hated the barrier separating me from the man finally willing to speak. I pound on the door.
"Let him in, Albi."
Albi still protests at the door begging for me to put my pendant back on.

"I would rather live out my days in this room without it than to step outside still trapped in a cage."

I finally hear the lock slide off the door and Deecon steps into the room.
With his head down.
The door locks behind him.
"Look at me, Deecon. Look into my real eyes." I command. He still stares at the ground. His fear and confusing anger oozes from his pores.

I quickly cup his chin and raise his eyes to me. He flinches as he finally stares into the burning pink hue of them.
"Four months... for four months you have done everything in your power to not look at me. Why?"
I press my fingers harder into his jaw.
I was becoming hateful.
A piece inside of me that I have never used begins to shine through. The warm glow of my fingers is now causing the tips to turn black.

What has overcome me? I don't feel composure over this emotion.
I do not have the control over this emotion like the others. This was a spiteful feeling that kept growing and my body started to lean into it out of instinct. Deecon's fear grows as he stares into my eyes.
"Tell me why you can't look at me!" I repeat.

"Because I took the life away from them."
He strains with the pressure I put on his jaw. His words leave me speechless. I drop his face as he crashes onto the floor.

I look down at my hands as blackness spreads to my palms. What's happening? A hunger in my belly is growing.

Deecon begins to stand up and all I want to do is knock him back over. He jumps to his feet at my approach.
"Franco.. Why did you beat him into a coma? I should have you begging for your life-"
Deecon raises his finger at me.

"How do you know I did that?"

He tries to connect the dots I have left for him. His face lights up as he turns to his wristband.

"Sky, did a Jack Francisco get scanned last night at the party?"
'Jack Francisco was scanned at 9:05PM through the main entry gate.'

He turns his head back to me grinning.
"You saw him last night.. Didn't you?" He steps closer to me and grabs the neck of my sweater. "You had a chat with him.. didn't you?" He questions now giving his full attention to my eyes. I pulled his hand from my sweater, disgusted at his touch.

"I didn't just chat with him.. I fucked him on top of my car." I smile.

Deecon goes to backhand me and this time I don't even catch it. I let his hand feel my stone-like face. I don't even move a muscle as his hand cracks onto my cheek.

He holds it in pain letting out a whimper. I continue to stand there smiling at his pain. My eyes start to pinhole in his direction. I was overcome with delight at his pain.. It was different though.. More evil.

"You fucking whore!" He shouts still caudling his hand. Without even thinking I charge over and grab him by the throat. I hear Albi from the slat screaming my name but it doesn't even bash into my ear drums. My eyes started to chill as the flame died out in them. My eyes started to feel like glaciers, a sensation I have never felt before.

I see Deecon claw at my hands as I put more pressure on his throat. He tries to speak,
"Your eyes.... Gem-... your eyes.... Stop... please..."
I hear the door rip open with Abi racing to Deecon's side. I can see his mouth open shouting at me but I hear no sounds come out. I was in a hateful trance that now blurred my surroundings. Why would Albi try to save this pathetic human's life?
I feel the tug at my arms from Albi but don't move an inch from his strength.

I couldn't stop myself.
I was overcome with desire to steal his very life. Deecon's eyes start to become bloodshot as my grip tightens.
He stole my light from me.
He beat Franco and threatened his very life. He couldn't get away with it. It was not his choice to steal Franco's free will. It was not his choice to keep me under his thumb.
I was a fucking god to these people and they shove me into my cage with no key in sight. More and more dark thoughts swarmed my mind as my vision became almost black.

Then I hear it.
It managed to make its way into my ear.
Deecon is desperately trying to get the words out.
"Gem-... I still... love... you... please."
My vision starts to come back as I see Deecon release the last bit of air he has in his lungs.
I drop my hand from his throat and his body crashes onto the floor. I look down at my arms now covered in black markings.

What have I done?

My heart begins racing, my hearing gone within a second, it felt like someone was scraping to get inside my head.
A Starzithian smooth voice echoes throughout my skull,
'Your first kill.. Is it almost time? Have you grown tired of humans?'
I could almost hear the smirk in their tone.
Whose voice has invaded my mind, why does it sound faintly familiar?
And just like that it's gone.
All of my senses run back and I see Deecon on the ground.

I leap down to his side seeing his lifeless body.
Albi shakes his shoulders not knowing his heart no longer beats. His eyes are lifeless as he stares at the ceiling. I leap to his side, pulling his upper body onto my lap.

"Gemma, you have to heal him!" He shouts. My once composed state now shakes trying to regain after the darkness engulfed me.

"Albi his heart isn't beating! I don't know what to do!" I cry out.
Deecon's lifeless body weighs heavy on my legs as I try to figure out my next move.
"You have to try.. Gemma you have to try something." He begs.

I place my hand on Deecon's heart begging my fingers to glow with life.
"I'll try.. I'll try." I stutter.
I stare down at my arms and strain my hands to glow. The dark black marking slowly retreated off my pale skin. I start to groan in pain as the black markings burn off my arms. A light slowly started to appear under the burns.

"Please.. Please glow." I beg. "Bring life.. Not darkness."

The glow from my fingers starts to move through my arms. My mouth opens in shock, never seeing the light grow up my body. I begin to scream from the pain now flowing from my fingers.
Pins and needles prick down my body as I try to bring Deecon back.

It was starting to hit me.

My life source was being drawn into Deecon.

I was giving him part of my life.

I feel the memories I ripped away from him that night start to rip from my mind. My head pounds almost splitting as his body takes back what was rightfully his. I begin to see the silver liquid that runs through me leak from my fingertips and absorb into his skin. A piece of my star. Then I hear it....thump-thump...thump-thump. "His heart.. It's beating." I whisper.
