Just a Violet Eden thing

heartbreak (loop poetry)

heartbreak is no physical thing
thing that can be touched or healed
healed with kindness, for it will sting
sting long after the cracks are sealed

treat heartbreak like wounds that are unsightly
unsightly secret buried beneath smiles
smiles that make your eyes twinkle brightly
brightly so that it blinds all for miles

give heartbreak a reprieve at night
night when others go to sleep
sleep often takes a long flight
flight to distant lands where heartbreak can freely weep
