Part 25 Bittersweet

No One P.O.V

Two weeks after fairy tail had disbanded things were still looking Grimm, all of there members were scattered. Loved ones were lost and some relationships were broken. Everyone just needed some time to recover from such a great loss.

"How is he?" Wendy asked walking on the edge of a water fountain. Romeo's dad was sent to the hospital last time she heard.

"The dr says he'll live but they have no idea when he'll wake up so..." Romeo said depressed about the whole thing.

There exceeds walked alongside them and tried to comfort Romeo.

"Cheer up kiddo, your dads tougher then you think" Samuel said.

"Yes he'll be right back to drinking and reading lewd magazines before you know it" Carla said causing everyone chuckle.

"Thanks you guys it means a lot" Romeo said turning his frown upside down.

"Enough about the bad times it's a wonderful day today so let's just enjoy it!" Romeo said cheering up a little bit.

Romeo and Wendy walked around the park to take their minds off things.

"Oh look a duckling!" Wendy squealed wanting to go pet it. In typical clumsy fashion she tripped over a rock but this time Romeo was there to catch her.

"You are such a dork" He said.

"Hey!" Wendy said lighting hitting his chest.

Romeo just laughed at this.

"If it wasn't for her shoes I'd say she'd trip over the air she walks" Carla joked.

"Not you too!" Wendy said making everyone laugh, even if annoyed Wendy couldn't help but laugh as well.

"Quack" The little duckling said suddenly appearing near Wendy's leg.

"All look at the little duck!" Wendy said picking it up.

"Can we eat it?" Romeo asked.

"NO! We are not eating the duck Romeo" Wendy scolded holding back her laugh.

They walked the duck over to the pond to reunite him with his momma.

"Take care!" Wendy said waving it goodbye as they saw the duck go with its mother. Seeing this Wendy then remembered grandeena as Romeo did Enno.

Wendy leaned against Romeo as they admired the big pond with a nice water fountain behind them.

"It's strange Romeo when I'm with you it's like nothing else matters... like all my worries just disappear" Wendy said holding his hand.

"Yeah I know how you feel" Romeo said.

being the youngest of the guild they can understand each other in ways no one else can. It's harder to talk to grown ups about these issues. They need people around there age to communicate with.

"So? Any plans for the future?" He asked. Wendy put of finger on her lip to think.

"Hmm I wanna become a singer" She admitted blushing from embarrassment.

"Really?" Romeo said actually excited for her.

"Well I've actually always admired singers but I've always been too shy to preform" She said.

"I'm sure everyone would love to hear that. It beats whatever the hell Gajeel would do!" He joked.

"You really think so?" She asked.

"Yeah it's actually why I got you this" Romeo said handing her a box. Within it was a necklace with a beautiful diamond.

Wendy nearly cried at how beautiful it was and that Romeo gifted her this.

"Oh my gosh what is this?" She asked.

"It's called a miracle gem the store owner said whoever wears it can have all there dreams come true" Romeo said.

"It's wonderful! I love it!" Wendy said as she let Romeo put the necklace on for her.

"Yeah I believe that you can do anything and that we will both get stronger to achieve our goals. We're fairy tail wizards after all and not just any wizards were dragon slayers!" He said.

"That's it I got it" Wendy said her eyes gleaming with passion.

"Got what?" He asked

"An idea for a song you just inspired me!" Wendy said starting to sing about it.

"Hey fairy, where you going?
I'm trying to assemble all this light
I'll shine it down and make tomorrow bright

because I lost my voice while doing the same

"That was wonderful! I can't wait to hear it on stage" Romeo said going behind her and lovingly putting the necklace on for her.

"I know we'll both reach our goals" He looked into her beautiful brown eyes and she staired right back feeling something between them they both started to lean forward.

Boom!

"There he is boys that's the man I want!"

"He's just a runt this'll be easy!" A bandit said.

Romeo and Wendy were being ambushed by Lammy who's hired a bunch of dark wizards.

"How dare you ruin a perfectly good day!" Wendy yelled infuriated.

"I don't care about that bitch. Knock her out for me will ya"

"Yes ma'am!"

The two mages and there exceeds were surrounded by several bandits.

Romeo tried fending off some of them with pure hand to hand combat alone but it wasn't enough he needed his magic.

"Fire dragon-" He started to ignite his right hand with green flames but to everyone's shock, he closed his eyes instead and stopped producing the fire.

He was too afraid of his own magic so he refused to use it.

This lead to the bandits knocking him out.

"Romeo!" Wendy shrieked. She tried to get to him but all the other bandits kept restraining her and holding her arms down.

"LET GO OF ME!" She yelled unleashing every kind of sky dragon attacks she had in her arsenal,but even when she knocked some of them down more would just take there place and keep her there.

"I SAID LET GO OF ME YOU BASTARDS! GET OFF ME!" She yelled seeing Lammy pick up Romeo and open a portal.

"ROMEO! ROMEO!" She yelled blasting more and more wind magic.

"Sit down!" One guy said knocking the back of her legs and making her fall. They all jumped on her and she was being held down and crushed by there body weight she extended her hand out trying to reach Romeo even though he was several feet away.

"Bye bye" Lammy said with a cocky grin as she opened a portal and started walking through it with Romeo in hand.

Wendy clenched her fist in the dirt and got angry.

"KYAAAAAAAA!" Having had enough of this Wendy activated her dragon force and blew all the bandits off of her. She then flew towards Lammy.

"ROMEO!" She yelled trying to reach him with her hand. But it was too late Lammy closed the portal causing Wendy to fall and roll over on the grass. She quickly got up and looked around. Her heart sank she realized was too slow to save him.

She fell to her knees and screamed "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" And tears poured down her face.
