Part 7 By Her Side

Romeo P.O.V

After some excruciating training fairy tail gathered together to prepare for the grand magic games.

Everyone who trained with Natsu looked especially tired.

"Hey you okay?" I asked Wendy.

She sighed and drooped a little.

"Yeah I'm just super drained from unlocking my second origin" She explained.

"The who the what now?" I asked confused. She giggled.

"Nevermind it's nothing" She said.

I nodded and smiled at her.

"Well regardless do you're best out there Wendy! I'll be cheering for you the whole time!" I said, her cheeks went red and she smiled back at me.

"Thanks!" She said, I didn't know it at the time but my words tugged at her heartstrings. She was so happy to hear someone believe in her, which made what happened later all the more tragic.

Timeskip

"Wendy! Wendy!" It was time for the grand magic games and she had gone missing.

I found her laying on the floor unconscious near the botanical gardens.

"Wendy!" I yelled quickly running towards her.

"What happened!? Hey Wendy!? Can you hear me?" I asked holding her by her shoulders.

"Romeo?" I heard her say.

"Wendy!"

Wendy P.O.V

I felt weak and drained.

"I can't... move..." I said.

He picked me up bridal style surprising me.

"Don't worry Wendy we'll get you someplace safe" He told me.

"Thank... You..." I said weakly before falling unconscious again.

Time skip

Romeo P.O.V

I gently laid Wendy down on the Infirmary bed and waited for the others to arrive.

Fairy Tail successfully got a spot in the grand Magic Games and when they heard of Wendys condition they immediately came barging in.

"You found em" Natsu yelled slamming the door open.

"Where the hell were they anyway" He than asked.

"Romeo and I found em in the palaces guardian" Samuel explained.

Wendy whimpered and started to slowly wake up again.

"You with us" Natsu asked.

"Guys..." Wendy said weakly.

"What happened" I asked.

"It's all just a big blur sorry I wish I could remember" Wendy said.

Porlyusica described it as some sort of magic deficiency syndrome. It's when wizard lacks so much magic energy in there body that they start to feel cold.

Wendy said something about remembering a black creature and that's all she could remember.

She than started to cry saying how she sorry that she trained so hard for nothing and how she was useless she was.

Seeing her in pain like that made my heart ache.

No One P.O.V

The next day Wendy woke up and saw Romeo beside her holding her hand. She held back and realized how grateful she had been to him. He found he, he had concerned for her well being.

He was too worried to even leave her side.

'My hero...' Wendy thought to herself.
