Part 18 Sweet Tooths & Brain Freezes

No One P.O.V

Romeo and Wendy sat in a park enjoying treats that Erza had gifted them after her latest mission.

"Hmm, strawberry cupcakes are so yummy!" Wendy hummed happily.

"Yeah, and this chocolate cheese cake is the best," Romeo said, taking another bite.

Upon looking at Romeos's face, Wendy couldn't help but giggle.

"What?" Romeo asked, dumbfounded.

"You've got chocolate on your face," She giggled.

"I do?" Clueless Romeo said.

"Here, let me get that for you," Wendy said. She took a small cloth and started gently whipping Romeos' face.

"You're like a little kid," She teased.

"You're one to talk about little!" He jabbed back.

"Hey!" Wendy said, pinching his cheek, making Romeo giggle. That cute laugh of his always warmed her heart.

She looked into his eyes and got lost in them. She blushed when she realized how close their faces were. Romeo blushed, too.

"Uh, you sure are hot - I mean, it sure is hot today" Wendy said fake fanning herself and taking a sip from her blue slushy.

"Yeah, it is," Romeo said, not hearing that first part and sipping his purple slushy.

"Wait, what flavor is purple anywa-" 

"AHH!" Romeo was cut short by Wendys' sudden whine as she held her head.

"What's wrong?" Romeo asked. Wendy was flushed and was drinking too fast to cool off.

"Brain Freeze!" She said.

Romeo put his fingers on her head and actived his magic to warm up her system. The pain subsided immediately.

"Thank you. Don't you ever get brainfreezes, Romeo?"

"No. I must be immune, " Romeo explained. He was a fire wizard after all.

"Weak to sour and cold things, huh?" Samuel said, nibbling on Kiwi cake.

"Ahhhh, don't mention sour," Wendy said, flinching at the thought as she remembered what Loki and Gray did to her on Tenro.

Carla then flew by.

"Child Erza sent me to get you,"

"HI Carla!" Romeo waved with a smile.

"Oh shoot! I forgot Erza wanted to meet at Lucy's today!" Wendy said frantically, getting up.

"I'll see you later, Romeo!" Wendy said, hugging him and then flying away with Carla.

Romeo waved goodbye and then got up to stretch.

"You think they're breaking into Lucy's again?" Samuel said.

"Probably that girl has some serious key control issues," Romeo said.

"The celestial wizard can't control her keys to her own house? Talk about unlocky!"

Romeo shivered.

"Of all things to make me cold. Let's head to the sweets store. I'm still craving more, " Romeo said. Samuel rolled his eyes.

"You're such a glutton," He said, picking up Romeo and flying to the store.

While there, he ran into an all too familiar family.
