Part 26 Worrying Wendy

It had been two weeks since Romeo was kidnapped within that time Wendy joined Lamia scale and did some jobs with her.

But she couldn't focus even during there jobs she would ask everyone in towns if they've seen her purple haired crush. Until finally Chelia decided to just dedicate a whole job to just looking for him.

They had searched the snowy mountains,the hot volcanos and now were in an empty wasteland

"Where is he? Where is he?" Wendy thought looking frantically for him. This was the first time she could actually smell his scent so she was more desperate than ever to find him.

That's when she found the source of his scent blowing in the wind and landing in her hands.

"This is his scarf! Oh my gosh Romeo! Romeo where are you!" She called out clenching the scarf tightly.

"This can't be all his scent was leading me to it can't! He has to be somewhere around here" She said soundly so sad and desperate.

"Wendy! Maybe it's time we go back he's not here" Chelia said hesitantly.

"NO HE IS! HE HAS TO BE!"

"Wendy we've been looking for him for three days and you haven't gotten any sleep" Chelia told her.

"I don't care! I'm not gonna rest till I find him" Wendy yelled hopelessly digging through some rubble hoping to find an entrance or something

"Hey listen to me! He's not here!" Chelia said holding her shoulder.

To her surprise Wendy violently shook her off "SHUT UP! YOU WOULDN'T UNDERSTAND WHAT ITS LIKE TO HAVE SOMEONE YOU LOVE BE TAKEN FROM YOU AND THERES NOTHING YOU COULD DO TO STOP IT!" She yelled snapping at Chelia.

She realized after how venomous she sounded and had a look of remorse right after. Chelia wasn't mad however she sympathized with Wendy, her rage was justified and she knew exactly where she was coming from.

Even if it wasn't as forced Nexis disappeared too for some time and she felt like there was nothing she could do as well.

"It's my fault!" Wendy said falling to her knees.

"It's my fault he's gone... I could've saved him but I was too weak... I don't want to lose him... I can't lose him too" Wendy yelled tears streaming down her face.

Chelia kneeled down beside her and gave her friend hug.

"Wendy I have a question. Do you believe in Romeo?" She asked.

"Of course" Wendy nodded.

"Then believe that he survived. Believe in his strength in his power,your guilds tough as nails and he's no exception I've seen him out there fighting and there's no way he'll let a bunch of ruffians put him down" Wendy looked a Chelia feeling hopeful from her words.

She had no doubt in her mind now that Romeo did survive and that she'll reunite with him someday. She felt it in her heart.

"You're right Chelia I'm sorry for yelling at you" She said dropping her head.

"It's okay I know you're going through a tough spot and I'm here for you" Chelia said smiling.

"Zzzzzzzzzzzzz" snoring could be heard from the sky dragon slayer.

"Guess she finally tuckered herself out" Chelia said picking up her friend bridal style.

"Let's get you home Wen" Chelia said.

"I hope you find your way back home too Romeo" She said looking up in the sky.
