"You're sure it's alright if I come over? I just really don't feel like potentially getting killed, kidnapped, or tortured tonight." Caroline laughed over the phone and Nini grabbed her diary from her nightstand before walking downstairs.

"Yeah, it would actually be great. Tyler disappeared today and I could actually really use some company."

"Oh I'm so sorry Caroline." Nini knew very briefly of Caroline and Tyler's strange relationship, but she was aware how much the blond cared for the boy. "I didn't know, no one told me. I'm sure he's ok wherever he is. I'm leaving my house now, give me ten minutes and I'll be over."

"Alright, see you then."

"Bye, Caroline." Nini hung up and saw Andie and Jenna setting the table, Damon standing by and watching them. "I'm off to Caroline's, please don't do anything stupid tonight."

"You know I'm ten years older than you, right?" Damon teased and Andie smiled at the twos bickering.

"Yeah but you act ten years younger. Bye Andie! Bye Jenna!" Both woman waved and Nini left the house, pressing a new contact name while she climbed into her car and began to drive to Caroline's house.

"To what do I owe the pleasure?" Nini smiled and waved to the person who had let her pass.

"Hello to you too. Listen, you know I trust you, but can you please avoid stabbing Damon tonight if possible? I know he can irritate you but please don't if it's unavoidable. It just gives my friends and brothers more reason to think you're a threat."

"I can try, but I won't give my word on it." Nini smiled with relief and pulled up next to Caroline's house. "So, what will you and your friend be getting up to as I have dinner in your home." Nini looked over at the seat next to her where her diary was resting. She had still yet to open it, as if she feared what was inside. After much thought she had come to the conclusion that Elijah must've compelled her to forget what she wrote before hiding it, but now her mind wondered what she had written to make him compel her.

"Oh you know, probably watch some films, eat food, gossip, whatever we feel like doing." Nini lied. "I think Caroline is watching me through the windows, I'd better go. Have a nice night Elijah."

"You aswell. Hopefully I will see you before I leave your home."

"That would be nice, though you don't have to check on me every time I leave, nothing will happen to me while I'm at Caroline's."

"Yes, well, I can't help myself it seems. Goodbye, enjoy yourself."

"Bye Elijah." Nini hung up and exited the car with her diary in hand, Caroline opening the door to meet her. "Hi Caroline!" The blond grinned and pulled Nini into a hug, the girls squeezing each other tight.

"Finally! I thought you would be talking to him forever." Caroline sighed dramatically and Nini laughed.

"He's my friend, he was just checking up on me. Look what I brought." Nini handed her the diary and Caroline flipped it in her hands. "It's my diary. I hid it in 1984 while I was with Elijah and didn't find it until now but I can't remember what I wrote, I think Elijah compelled me to forget."

"Your best friend compelled you? Don't you think that's, like, a violation of your freedom or something?" Nini took the book back and shrugged.

"I'm sure he had a reason, he gave me his word he would never do it against my will so maybe I did ask him to."

"That seems strange though. Why would you write something in your diary only to forget it in your mind?" The two girls walked towards Caroline's house and opened the door to go inside, Caroline stepping through with ease while Nini walked into what could've been a brick wall. "Oh no." Nini pressed her hand against the barrier, yep, she was locked out.
