"Niklaus, our guests have arrived." Elijah opened the door where Damon and Stefan were stood, immediately noticing that Nini was not present.
The Salvatore brothers had managed to leave while she went to check on Caroline. The Forbes girls father was refusing the transition and she was taking it rough so being one of her best friends Nini had went to help.
"Damon. Stefan. Elijah tells me, you seek an audience. Very bold." Klaus mused as he approached the door, his eyes scanning for the third Salvatore. "Let's discuss the terms of our agreement like civilized men, shall we?" Damon and Stefan entered, following the two Mikaelsons to the dining room where the table was set with food, two female waitresses standing nearby.
The two had known Nini would most likely be angry when she realized they had left her but Stefan of course didn't care and Damon was still convinced that she needed to be far away from Klaus.
"It's better to indulge him." Elijah muttered to the brothers who eyed the set up.
"I didn't come here to eat, Klaus. Fact, I didn't want to come here at all. But I was told I had to cause you would hear us out." Stefan argued and Klaus' lips turned up in a half grin.
"Well, we can sit and eat or I can reach down your throats and pull out your insides. The choice is yours." He knew he had them, neither dared to leave.
Everyone sat, Stefan begrudgingly, and began to eat, the women making sure to pour the wine and Damon smiled up at her. "Thank you, love."
"You lost your appetite." Klaus commented on Stefan's full plate and Damon glared at his brother.
"Eat." Damon demanded. "I thought we agreed that we would leave the grumpy Stefan at home."
Finally Stefan began to eat, Klaus smiling in satisfaction. "That's the spirit. Isn't it nice? Four of us dining together? Such a treat. Is this what you had in mind when you pulled the dagger from my brother?" Klaus mocked him and Damon smiled sarcastically, shrugging.
"Well, I know how he felt about you, so I figured the more, the merrier. Plus, I also had my sister on my mind." Damon winked at the Original who merely shifted in his seat, a small smile on his face.
"Well, Elijah and I have had our share of quarrels over the century. But we always make it through." Klaus shrugged.
"Kind of like you and Rebekah, right? Where is she, by the way? Last I checked she was still daggered because you were afraid to face her." Stefan's voice was full of accusation as he folded his hands infront of him, seeming ready for a verbal fight.
"If you're referring to the fact that Rebekah knows I killed our mother, I've already come clean to Elijah." Klaus shot back and Damon sighed.
"Hey, Stef, remember when you killed dad? Might want to dial down the judgment until dessert." Stefan's fist clenched, causing Damon to glance down. None of the siblings ever said much about their fathers death, but they all knew Stefan had done it, and the reason why was a very touchy subject.
"Yeah, well, I had a reason." He growled lowly. "We're here to make a deal, Damon. Doesn't mean we need to kiss his ass for seven courses." He switched the subject back quickly.
"I'm just saying we have a long evening ahead of us. Pace yourself." Damon commented, taking a bite of his food.
"So, Stefan," Elijah started, trying to ease some tension. "I see you two did not bring your sister along, but where is the lovely Elena tonight?"
