Nini tapped the menu with her finger, signaling to the waiter what she wanted before walking towards the pool table. "Hey, Nini, right?" The girl nodded and continued setting up the other balls while Tyler Lockwood grabbed two cues.

"I remember you. I was just wondering, have you seen Caroline?" Nini shook her head and accepted one of the sticks from him, lining up her first shot. "Oh, ok." Tyler watched as the girl sinked two striped balls and lined up her next shot.

"Nice." Tyler commented before lining up his own shot. "So, what are you doing here?" When Nini didn't respond he looked over at her to see her watching Alaric and Elena talking at the bar.

"Elena was asking me where some other wolves in Tennessee would stay, I think she's going to look for Stefan." The waitress approached Nini and handed her a drink and Nini gave her a twenty in return, motioning for her to keep the change.

"I forgot, Caroline mentioned you don't talk right now. Do you smile?" Nini quickly snapped her cue forward, sinking two balls with once shot.

"Wow." Tyler whistled. "Alright, I'll make you a deal, new game. If I win, I want to see you smile, you win, I'll.." He looked around the grill, clearly trying to find something simple for his task. "I got it, I'll-"

"Hey Nini, I really need to talk to you." Elena interrupted as she came up and grabbed Nini's arm roughly causing the girl to jump and disappear briefly, reappearing behind Tyler. "Sorry, sorry." Elena apologized quickly, looking between Tyler and Nini.

"That's freaky." Tyler shook his head, his eyes where Nini had been a second ago.

"It's really important, it's about Stefan." Elena continued without waiting for any sign or response. "I know that you, Damon, and Alaric have been tracking him all summer and even though Damon has given up I'm not and I know you won't either. Tyler told me where a pack is in Tennessee and I think that's where they're heading. Me and Alaric are going now, will you come?"

"Elena, it's full moon and Nini is a vampire. That's not really safe." Tyler pointed out and Nini nodded in agreement.

"But Nini can also disappear as long as no one hits her with any vervain and we'll be gone before the moon is full. Please Nini, I know you want Stefan back more than anyone." Elena begged and Nini hesitated before nodding. It was true, she desperately wanted Stefan back sooner rather than later.

Elena grinned and took the girls hand, pulling her after her and Nini waved goodbye to Tyler who watched them go.

"In a couple hours, the full moon's gonna rise just above that ridge. If Tyler's right, that's where the pack'll be." Nini listened to the flow of the river as the group walked along it, it was calming. It reminded her of the multiple times she had went on strolls with Elijah.

"You were a boy scout, weren't you? A boy scout, slash vampire slayer?"

"Slash whiskey-drinking all-around lost cause." The girls eyes trained on a beautiful blue butterfly fluttering about ten feet above her and she bent her knees slightly, springing up to cup it in her hands.

Alaric opened a bag of weapons next to her and she opened her hands up, letting the butterfly crawl along her finger. "Wow. You came stocked."

"Well, we aren't exactly bird-watching. Here. Put that in your bag." Nini watched Alaric hand Elena a grenade and immediately didn't like the thought of Elena with an explosive.

"Vervain grenade?"

"Wolfsbane." Alaric corrected. "Nini, I've got a couple for you too." Nini only nodded in acknowledgment and continued to watch the insect.
