There was a reason why romantic stories usually ended after a confession or marriage. Confessions may seem scary but they weren't difficult if you had enough courage and an opportunity. Marriage too, was not difficult – well weddings weren't at least. They required a lot of preparation sure and maybe a lot of money, depending where you were, but it then went by surprisingly quickly. Some things may end up messy but overall there was a structure and an end point.
Confessions and weddings were the start. Actual relationships and marriages may be easy but also hard. Hyunjin, a certified romantic, sure loved a good confession or marriage story but he lived for the minute things that made relationships. It was the small things that built and shaped.
Hyunjin wasn't sure what the hell this was; their relationship had been more than fine. They communicated and had fun and supported each other which was what both of them had wanted from it. He knew, because they discussed it. The BDSM element was something else they got out of it. It wasn't safe or sound to find someone else for that in their position.
And now they communicated, had a bit less fun and there was still that element. They also supported each other still but there was no official stamp and there was someone else involved. Someone who Hyunjin had seen in passing when he had meet with Seungmin after practice before they started seeing each other.
The difference was so brief that he had whiplash because sometimes he convinced himself they were still together but obviously they weren't and once he was reminded, it sucked even more each time.
"Wait is he still angry at you? That has never ever happened" Jisung asked, startling Hyunjin from his reverie.
"Yes thank you, I know what never means. No need to add ever." Seungmin answered with a huff. Clearly, Hyunjin hadn't been the only sulky one.
"I'm not angry! Just thinking!" Hyunjin reassured.
"Really? No wonder you don't do it so much. Your thinking face is similar to your angry face."
Hyunjin threw him a plushie he found on the couch next to him. Probably Changbin's.
"Ignore him. Your thinking face is nothing like your angry face. It's cute and pouty. Maybe Jisung is getting his wires crossed since you spent so long angry at each other and he couldn't have resisted you if you pouted therefore he blanked it out."
Seungmin came up with such atrocious theories! It had the both of them laughing in stitches and Jisung admit that that may as well be true. He definitely wasn't blanking Hyunjin's cute face now as he squished it and called him 'cute' and 'charming' for the millionth time.
Seungmin was visiting them at their dorm. Well, he had slept over. The buffer two had gone for a super early morning run and hadn't come back yet. He picked up the plushie before Changbin realised and he dusted the little guy. It was a cute penguin that deserved better than being thrown around...maybe he was a cute penguin?
Nah. He wasn't thrown around – unless he asked for it. Also, did he deserve better? That was debatable. He already had a lot! If he was a sin, he'd be lust or sloth, a little bit of envy and pride...he wasn't gluttony or greed however. Wrath was debatable. But yes, he was sinful for sure and what he had was more than enough.
"I know what I'm getting you for Christmas. Anti-wrinkle cream." Jisung nodded and clapped his hands on his lap. The universal 'okay, I'm going' sign. It was only to his room but that left the lovers together...they were still that, no?
"What are you getting the others for Christmas? I know what my present was." Seungmin winked.
Hyunjin smirked. That little bit of pride was showing. The fleshlight wasn't Seungmin only gift.
