Seungmin was rage personified but contained. What was happening to Hyunjin was completely unacceptable and yet they had to deal with it. It was even the other's birthday now and while they wanted to celebrate well, they had to travel and it wasn't an ideal situation.

Hyunjin was still feeling raw and emotional and exposed and so he hid in oversized clothes some of which were from Seungmin's side of the wardrobe. He shook sometimes and it worried everyone; not that he did it in front of untrustworthy people because now he had more trust issues than ever but around those who he trusted, he let his guard down most probably because otherwise he'll go crazy. It wasn't in Hyunjin's nature to hide so much and Seungmin supposed he should be grateful that there were so many people he trusted but now he had to explain what happened to everyone as they all came to him with their worries.

"What do you mean someone tried to abduct him?" Chan shouted.

"We don't know if the intention was to kidnap him...but someone did try making him stop in another stop" Seungmin admitted.

"How can you be so calm?" Their leader shrilled.

"Believe me, I'm not but if I show you just how angry I am there will be nothing left to investigate. I'll probably kill all those suspects, guilty or not."

"Not a half bad idea." Minho muttered and him and Changbin huddled together and stared at a screen too suspiciously, enough for Seungmin to lean over.

When he saw a search on 'best places to hide bodies' he refrained from commenting. They were using a private search so it was okay and he agreed with their agenda. The police would still be able to see that search...but the police weren't too keen on working.

"Seungmin hired a private investigator and they've made a list of possible suspects. Did you manage anything else?" Changbin reassured them once there was more worried speculation by the others.

"I've asked the train company for the footage and we've opened multiple police reports and yes, the investigator is looking into those people." He briefed. At that, there more a bit more calm around although it didn't last for long.

"It's his birthday too. What shall we do?" Felix asked in worry.

They had gathered at the company's cafeteria while it was closed to the public to discuss. Hyunjin had needed comfort the morning after and had gone to his parents mostly to see his dog but also his parents who admittedly did not know what was going on but for sure would be able to tell.

While he had a good relationship with them now, scars remain and he was afraid to tell them in case they blame him and tell him it was his fault. Jisung at least had accompanied him with his own dog so he has company and a partner in crime although perhaps someone that can lie as badly as him wasn't a good choice but he was one with a handy dog and they were the distraction both for Hyunjin who would at least smile at them and for his parents who at any whiff of trouble could be directed to the cute dogs interacting with each other. There was also the bonus that without Jisung there, there would be less noise as for sure he'll panic; one of the others would have the honour of explaining to him what was going on. As previously said, the other couldn't lie so the later he knew about the plan, the better.

"I have an idea." Seungmin said. He was going to execute it on his own but a group effort may make Hyunjin smile bigger.

That day, they made no mention of his birthday but when they were up for a public appearance at the airport, they surprised him with a birthday message and as they shouted happy birthday to him, he hoped that Hyunjin could hear their love. He had stayed up all night comforting the other when he came back from his parent's but he didn't mention his birthday. First of all, it wouldn't have been appropriate since he was sometimes crying, sometimes shaking and sometimes huffing in anger still. Second of all, Hyunjin loved surprises so when then they all yelled 'Hyunjin Happy Birthday' for everyone to witness, he definitely had been pleasantly surprised. Seungmin was a bit tired, not having slept at all last night and little in general these days but he had gotten a boost of energy from seeing Hyunjin's eyes smile.
