A/N: This is how I spent the last week of 2022 (mostly the angst) and my first day of 2023 (mostly the sex scenes and the ending). To more writing.

-----------------

It was Saturday. They went home and it felt strange yet all too familiar. It was a homely environment; their homely environment. Over there was one of Hyunjin's paintings and over there a family photo that Hyunjin had joined. Miya's drawings on the fridge, one of Hyunjin's old phone cases from his quest of constantly switching them in the dance studio, Hyunjin's daisy pen in the small vocal studio. This place was littered with memories that felt like balm, definitely not rubbish.

"Um, so, should I take the guest room or should you?" Hyunjin asked.

"I mean, it's not like we're not still sleeping in the same bed. Together." Seungmin answered.

"Yes and I'm not stopping that but we can't confuse that little girl." There was no way he would give that up now; it was so good. Hyunjin was a bit of a slut...even for love. But he was careful, especially with the child. It's probably why his in-laws...well his in-laws at the time, trust them both with their youngest.

"Good point. I'll take the guest room."

Seungmin took the room that used to be his parents' until they moved. There was an actual guestroom but best to leave them for any actual guests. Less cleaning and besides his parents had left stuff there; stuff they probably didn't need now or things they could use when they visited. It was too personal for guests to stay in.

Hyunjin felt both glad and guilty at the rooming arrangement. Glad because he liked his room, their room now his room. It was decorated just like Hyunjin liked and the lighting was good. But guilty because this was Seungmin's room before it became theirs and then his room and Seungmin's house, even Miya's house, before it was his. Yet, he was putting Seungmin in the guest room! What sort of etiquette was that? His ancestors cringed – though admittedly, they must do so for a lot of things he, they did.

"Stop worrying. You're damaging your lips. I like the guestroom. It's very clean and orderly but still somewhat homely since it has traces of my parents. Besides, I'll be in your room most times."

Seungmin of course could read Hyunjin from the body he knew so well; the language he was fluent in. A few reassurances, a few caresses and Hyunjin was putty; though still worrying putty.

"Okay. Okay, I'll stop worrying. Would you like another duvet?"

"Hyunjin."

"Right, sorry."

"No need to apologise. It's endearing. You wouldn't be Hyunjin without caring so much but I'm really ok."

"But won't you be cold?"

The temperatures were dropping further after all. Soon, it will start snowing. He just hoped it won't be at an inconvenient time like when they were going in to a music show. Otherwise, Hyunjin loved the snow. The first snow this season would be lonely.

"I'll just come and hug you if I am."

"Hwang Hyunjin, personal heating services. That's me."

"Are you two done? I need another duvet to build a fortress." Miya's sudden appearance spooked them. Hyunjin more visibly as he jumped.

"Of course Miya-ya. Let me get it for you!" Hyunjin jumped to get it from the top shelf.

"Thank you." She grumbled.

"Is anything wrong sweetie?" Hyunjin asked, pushing her hair back. It was soft but it needed to be washed soon. He made a note to have enough time to help her dry it.
