It was a normal day for everyone, Roman Prince was in drama club, Patton Baker was in his baking class, and Logan Blight was on the debate team. When suddenly an alarm sounded from the speakers in every room, except no one knew what the alarm meant as no one had ever heard it before. However Logan was the first to understand, he had always been called the smartest in the group. Logan raced to the other two and pulled them to them to the top of the school, before making sure the door to the roof was secure enough to not break.

"Logan, why did you grab us out of our classes?! I was just about to finish the macaroons!" Patton questioned, obviously annoyed at the eldest of the three. Logan just sighed as he lead the two over to the window's walk and pointed down below them.

" That is why, Patton." Roman and Patton look below them and see pale green figures walking around, some banging on the school's entrance doors. Roman and Patton paled as they realized what the figures were, they were zombies.

"Microsoft Nerd, please tell me you have a plan!" Roman said frantically, with panic evident in his eyes. Logan nodded and pulls a map out of his backpack.

"I had this in case of a nuclear reaction, or some radiation explosion but it will still work effectively for this situation." The map was of the entire city with a bunker deep in the woods circled with red marker. "All we have to do is get to the bunker where I have already put several supplies for the three of us," Logan stated nonchalantly as if there wasn't impending doom all around the city, maybe even the world.

"Okay Dictionary, how quickly can we get there?" Roman said tossing things he did not need over the railing.

"It will take approximately four hours on foot, two if we drive."

Roman nose as he opens the door to go into the school, "Come on! Let's go!" Roman raced down the stairs, with Patton and Logan followed after him. Several times the undead monsters almost noticed them, some almost got close enough to attack. When they finally reached the bunker, Logan decided that a good approach would be to learn how to use weapons and fight. After a few minutes everyone had chosen their weapon, Roman chose a bar with barbed wire a homage to some of his favorite movies, Patton chose a large, light blue hammer, and Logan chose thee bar as well since he believed it was the best weapon against the undead.

After a couple of weeks everyone got used to a schedule, eat, train, find food so supplies don't run out, and do not die. Every so often they would explore to see if there were any other survivors, however they still had not found any. "Logan! We're back!" Patton said happily entering the bunker carrying supplies while Roma's cleaned the blood and gore off of himself and his weapon. See while Patton could fight he was too much of a kind soul to do so unless he had a gut feeling he had too, so Roman and Logan often killed the monsters while Patton got supplies.

Logan appears from behind the corner. "Wonderful, I hope no one was bit." Logan said coldy, prepared to lock up or kill someone who was infected.

"No one was bit, don't worry!" Patton said happily, while putting the supplies in the fridge and cupboard. Roman still didn't know how Logan got plumbing and electricity in the bunker, but he wasn't going to ask not wanting to listen to the logical one's speech. Roman laid down on the couch and breathed a sigh of relief. He was thankful that he and his friends had survived, but he felt like something was missing. Something he couldn't understand because he hadn't lost anything and his friends were still very much alive.

"Is something the matter, Roman?" Logan questioned, looking at him. Roman looked at him, he never really took in what people looked like and now it seemed that was all he did. Logan had brown hair, blue eyes, and semi-tan skin, Patton had light brown that faded to light blue hair, light blue eyes, and slightly pale skin, Roman himself had chocolate colored hair that faded to red(he and Patton had fun dying their hair even with a lecture from Logan), his right eye was red where the left one was green, he had tan skin as well.

"Nothing is the matter, my friend!" Roman exclaimed, smiling happily. He sat up from the maroon colored couch and walked to his room. He sat down on his bed and reached into his pocket, looking for what he found earlier. After a couple of seconds he found what he was looking for. He pulled the picture out, it was of Logan, Patton, and him smiling happily, or in Logan's case semi-smile, in front of Patton's family bakery. Roman smiled happily, things were so light hearted back then, they didn't have to care about having enough supplies, trying not to die seemingly every day,...they didn't have to worry if their family was okay or not either. "Wait...who is that?"

Roman looked at the picture, noticing a boy who looked their age in the background wearing a hoodie. He felt like he had seen that hoodie somewhere while getting supplies. He shrugged it off however, and put the photo beside his bed before falling asleep. Slipping into a dream he'd had countless times, and not a single time had he ever remembered what the fantastic dream had been about, but everytime he awoke much happier than he had been before.
