Patton and Roman are sitting on the couch. "So you want to teach him to say words in English better?" Roman questioned and Patton nods, smiling.
"Yeah! Although I think it would be better if you or you and I did it. I want him to trust you more, Ro." Patton says, smiling a little.
"I can try, Patton. To the best of my ability anyway." Roman says as he stands up and goes to Anxiety's room. He knocks on the door and Anxiety opens it.
"Rømæn?" Anxiety questions. "Whæt...hērē?"
"I'm here to help you speak English better." Roman states, and Anxiety nods letting him into the room. Anxiety sits on his bed and Roman sits down as well, still giving him a little space. "So, do you want my help in learning better?" Roman questioned, Anxiety nodded. "Okay, what do you want to learn how to say first?"
"Rømæn," Anxiety answered looking at him.
"You..want to learn how to say my name first?" Roman asked, "Why?"
"Strøng...trüst." Anxiety says, some zombie talk mixed in.
"Are you saying I'm strong and you trust me or you strongly trust me?" Roman asked, still confused. Anxiety held up one finger and Roman nodded, understanding he meant the first one. "Okay, Ro."
"Rø."
"Well you have the 'R' right.... Oman."
"Ømæn."
"Okay so we just need to work on vowels for all the words, makes sense." Roman said to himself. "Ro-man."
"Rah-món."
"Better, good job." Roman says, smiling. Anxiety smiles happily, and his eyes that Roman could get lost in turn into a galaxy in his mind.
"Rah-o-mahn?"
Roman smiles, "You're doing great Anxiety, Ro-man."
"Roh-mahn."
Roman smiles, "You're almost there, you're doing amazing."
Anxiety smiles brightly, "Ro..man?" Roman nods, smiling. "Roman!" Anxiety exclaimed happily, smiling brightly. Roman smiles seeing Anxiety, someone he was scared and for some reason mad at a few weeks ago, so happy over something like knowing his name.
"Did you know how to speak like that before we found you?" Roman asked, curious.
"Yēs....ælønē...æwæy."
"So you did, you had people who fought you then you were alone and it went away?" Roman said, trying to fill in the blanks. Anxiety nods after Roman says it. "Well, I'll teach you how to say things you want to learn! Of course the others can help as well if you ever want them to." Roman says, smiling as Anxiety smiles as well. Throughout the week Roman helps Anxiety speak better. Anxiety and Roman are sitting on the couch when there is a knock on the bunker door.
Roman stands up before Anxiety grabs his arm. "Danger." He states, looking at the door wearily.
"Are you certain?" Roman questioned, when Anxiety nods Roman glances as the bat. Anxiety stands and goes over to the door. "ANXIETY!" Roman yells, making the younger flinch and look at him slightly scared. "I'm sorry for yelling, but I don't want you going towards something dangerous." He says, Anxiety smiles a little.
"Just hide." Anxiety says, no anger or bad tones in his voice. Roman sighs and sits on the couch again, stubbornly. Anxiety takes the baseball bat before opening the door and shutting it quickly.
"Is it really that bad?!" Roman exclaimed, very concerned. Anxiety just shakes his head. "Then why did you close the door after you saw who it was?" Roman questioned.
"Don't like him." Anxiety stated, bitterness seeping into his words. He stated putting the baseball bat down and going back over to the door, opening it and looking at who it was, not letting him inside the bunker. "What do you want, and why are you here? Answer me honestly before I bash your head in." Anxiety states, menacingly, as he looks at who arrived at the bunker.
"I don't mean you any harm, I just wanted to talk with you again. And I wanted to apologize for what I did." Janus admits, honestly, looking at Anxiety.
"Well you did. Besides why would YOU of all people care about apologizing? You did it. Not anyone else. YOU killed my sister!" Anxiety practically roars as he and Janus stand outside.
"I thought she was going to hurt you! I was trying to protect you!" Janus argued, clenching his hands into fists.
"Well it didn't matter did it?!" Anxiety yells, angrily. "I still died! And she is still gone!" Anxiety yelled, as he threw his hands up as he scowled. Hot tears fell down his face as he glared daggers into Janus. "I don't care what you say or do. You can apologize for you're bad decision, and I might forgive you. But that day will not be today. So go AWAY!" Anxiety yells at him holding his arms by his sides, clenching his fists as his furrowing his eyebrows.
"Anxiety....I really am sorry." Janus states.
"I don't care." He says with the same ire he had the entire conversation.
"Remus found a way to put her back together. She doesn't have memories of what happened that day but she still has memories of before that." Janus says, Anxiety can practically feel the honesty in his voice. "I swear I'm not lying."
"And why should I believe you? Eleanor isn't even he--"
"Brother?" A soft voice asks from somewhere behind Anxiety. Anxiety turns around quickly, he sees Eleanor hiding behind one of the bunker doors. Anxiety falls to his knees as tears fill his eyes and Eleanor hugs him. He hugs her back and breaks down, hugging her not wanting to let go while sobbing his eyes out. Roman rushes out when he hears Anxiety crying.
"What happened?! Anx--" Roman stops himself and crouches to the ground, hugging Anxiety, trying to stop his crying. After a few minutes Anxiety has stopped crying, but Roman is still hugging him.
"I'm okay Roman, I just missed my sister." Anxiety says, smiling a little.
"You told Patton 'Anxiety' and I'm guessing you have that and it's not just what you wanted us to call you. So I'm going to worry when you cry." Roman states, completely serious.
"Thank you, Roman," Anxiety says smiling a little. "This is my little sister Eleanor, she's eight."
"It's nice to meet you Eleanor, I'm sure you're going to be a wonderful friend of mine. If you'll allow it of course." Roman says, still holding Anxiety close. Eleanor looks at Roman.
"Can I ask you something in secret?" Eleanor asks, looking at Roman who is still holding Anxiety close.
Roman looks at Anxiety who nods. "Sure Eleanor!" He says cheerfully, he stops holding Anxiety and goes a few steps away with Eleanor. "What did you need?"
"Are you in love with big brother?" She asks, which makes Roman a cherry red.
"I-uh.."
"I think he likes you, but you better treat him well!"
"Don't worry fair maiden, I treat my lovers like royalty if he and I dated I would treat him like a king."
"Okay! I think you're good for him!" She smiles before going back to Anxiety.
"Look Janus...thank you for doing this, it'll take time but I'll try to forgive you." Anxiety says and Janus nods.
"Of course, I'll come each week so you and El can have fun." Anxiety nods as the two leave. When they go back inside the two sit back on the couch.
"So, what were we talking about Anxi--"
"Virgil."
"What?" Ronan asked, face written with confusion.
"My name is Virgil." Roman smiles happily and hugs him, Virgil hugs him back smiling as well.
"Thank you for telling me, Virgil." Roman says as he smiles happily.
"No problem, Princey." Virgil says smiling a bit.
