The next morning, Virgil has things packed for to the trip. Most, if not all, of the items are to make sure Roman stays safe or to help him heal if injured. Virgil puts the backpack on his shoulders as Roman comes into the room with more of comfortable fighting clothes than what he wore before. "Well, Doom and Gloom are you ready for this?" Roman asks handing him a bat.

"Sure am, Princey." Virgil said, taking the bat. The two leave the house and start going toward where the virus started. Virgil smashed the heads Roman couldn't see while keeping himself alive. "The cons seriously out way the benefits here, Princey." Virgil stated as he and Roman avoided the zombies in a secluded area.

"I know Virge, but I want to do this. To help you and the others who were turned." Roman says, smiling at him. Virgil smiles a little as they continue to go to the place it started. Virgil makes sure that Roman doesn't step on and fluid or sharp objects. "Virge, I'm fine nothing's going to happen to me!" Roman says, trying to calm the younger down.

"I'm fine as well, Princey. But I'm not letting you get hurt or turn into the undead." Virgil states as they walk through the abandoned facility. They eventually reach a large room with a control panel. "I think we found the place, there should be a map around here."

"What? Did you work here, Emo?" Roman asks teasingly.

"Actually I did, so c'mon intern let's go." Virgil says as they go down a hallway to the seventh door. Roman smiles a bit holding his baseball bat close. When they enter the room there was a large incubator tube, and it was broken. A green fluid on the base of it and on the edges. Virgil takes out a turkey baster and puts the liquid in a bottle. When he puts it in his backpack, Roman and Virgil hear glass shatter in the next room over.

"Virgil, stay here." Roman whispered as he grabbed his bat and went to the next room. When he got there he saw a girl, seventeen, his age, she had long curly amber hair and brown eyes. "What are you doing here it's not-- wait. Are you alone?" Roman started but finished worried. The girl looked at him.

"Well, my dad is in the other room...but--" Before she could finish Roman ran out and back to the room Virgil was in. Seeing a man standing above a curled up Virgil, ready to swing the bat, he quickly moved. He wasn't thinking, like it was an instinct. He swung the bat to the man's head and when he stumbled back, Roman moved in front of Virgil quickly.

"Kid, it's dangerous to be close to a monster like that! So c'mere and let me get rid of that demon." The man says moving over to Roman. Roman swings the back to the man's head as soon as he gets to him.

"Leave. Him. Alone."

"Kid! That's a dangerous monster and a killer!" The man exclaimed gesturing to Virgil, who flinched. Roman kicks him stomach and turns to Virgil.

"Come on, let's go." Roman says, pulling him up. Virgil nods and Roman takes him out of the building, never letting go of his hand. When they get to the front door the girl is there with a crossbow.

"Get out of the way, handsome. I have to get rid of that beast."

"Lady. Get out of my way." Roman says, in a dark tone.

"I don't want to hurt you! So move--" Roman throws a rock making the crossbow fire to the left of them. "Why'd you hit my crossbow?!" Roman rolls his eyes and pulls Virgil out of the building. He walks a while, still holding Virgil's hand, until they get far enough from the building. Roman turns around and puts his hands on Virgil's shoulders.

"You're okay right? He didn't get the chance to hurt you, right?" Roman asks, worried. Virgil smiles and nods.

"Yes I'm fine, Roman. He didn't get a chance to hurt me either. Thanks for that by the way, Ro." Virgil says, smiling a little as the two walk back to the bunker. "I hope we never meet those people, ever again."

"Me too, at least not the dad. He was...rude to say the least." Roman says, scowling. Virgil nods and they walk into the bunker. They go to Logan and Virgil hands him the bottle with the green liquid.

"Thank you, Virgil." Logan says before looking at him. "Do zombies have blood?"

"Yes they do. Do you need some for this?" Virgil asks curiously. Logan nods as Roman glares at him behind Virgil.

"Yes I do. Roman it will only hurt as much as a bee sting. I understand you care but he will infact be fine." Logan states, and Roman rolls his eyes. Virgil holds his arm out and Logan takes some of his blood, a muddy red and green color. "See Roman, he is fine."

"I guess." Roman states as Virgil puts his hand back to his side. The two go outside of Logan and Remus' lab. "What should we do now, JD-lightful?" Roman asks and Virgil looks at him confused. "JD? Heathers the musical?"

"No clue what that is."

"Okay when things are back to normal in this city I'm getting you to watch Heathers the musical." Roman states as they walk into the living room. Virgil hides behind Roman when they see the girl from before crying into Patton's arms. "Patton. What is SHE doing here?" Roman asked, keeping Virgil safe and calm behind him.

"She came here by accident, she watched her dad sacrifice herself."

"Oh my God! You're the guy from earlier! It's so nice to meet you again!" She says holding her hand out. "My name is Regina!"

"Regina George." Virgil mumbles behind Roman, who laughs a little.

"Who's behind y--THERE'S A ZOMBIE HERE!" She looks at Patton, waiting for him to take out a weapon. He walks over and goes to Roman.

"Virge, are you alright?" He asks as Roman moves a bit, showing more of Virgil who nods. "Okay...so Regina, we have three here who can talk and don't..." Patton pauses looking at Virgil who gets the hint and covers his ears. "...eat people."

"Why did you pause it's not like the things care." Regina says, coldly.

"Well. Virgil does, and if you don't you can exit this place because we don't need you here if you're going to be rude." Roman says glaring at her. She nods and walks to one of the empty rooms, Patton smiles and walks to the kitchen. Roman takes Virgil's hands off his ears. "She's gone, c'mon let's go watch your favorite movie. Logan and Patton got the TV to work in my room." Virgil smiles and goes with Roman to his room.
