Project

Chapter 6

It was Monday and I was finally almost done with project. It was due tomorrow.

I was getting my books out of my locker when I heard someone lean against the locker next to mine.

I look behind my locker door and see Aidan.

"What?" I asked.

"I was wondering if I could come to your house or something to help with the project, since its due tomorrow." He says.

I roll my eye and continue looking for a certain book.

"No." I state.

He chuckles.

"Playing hard to get." He says.

I slam my locker shut and look at him.

"I'm not playing anything, Aidan." I say as I turn around and walk away.

He runs up behind me and puts his arm around me.

"Oh, we're on first name basis now?" He says.

I sigh as I push his arm off me.

"I'll walk you to English." He says.

He sat next to me in English. Me, him, and my other friend, Tyler, all sat at a table together.

Tyler was a funny guy. He was short with brown hair, brown eyes, and was kind of quiet but we laughed a bit.

"I don't want you to walk me." I say.

"Too bad." He replied.

"I hate you."

"Aw, I love being your friend too." He says.

"We're not friends."

"Yes we are."

I laughed.

"Only in your wildest dreams."

I sat down in my chair and looked over. Tyler wasn't here. Im pretty sure he's still in Florida.

I saw him walk through the door and sit next to me.

"When did you get back from Florida?" I asked him.

"Yesterday."

"Oh, cool. I told you to text me though."

"Phone died."

"Liar."

"Yep."

I sighed and turned back to look at the teacher.

*Time skip*

I walked out of the school with Calleigh since Lydia and Shyanna had to take the bus today.

I giggled as she told me about little moments that her and her crush Gabe had.

I see him get flustered around her most days.

She gets a notification on her phone and checks it.

"Shit." She says.

"What?" I ask.

"My brother can't pick me up. I'll have to walk." She says annoyed.

"I walk everyday, imagine how I feel." I say.

I let my smile drop when I felt an arm wrap around me.

I look over and to no surprise, Aidan was there.

"What?" I say.

"I said I was gonna help you with the project." He says.

"You're not gonna give this up, are you?"

"Nope."

I sigh in defeat and look at Calleigh.

"I'll call you tonight." I say.

She nods and me and Aidan start to walk the opposite direction. I shove his arm off me and he smirks.

"Careful." He says.

"Wipe that smirk off your face." I say looking at him.

"Whatever you say."
