"Father, why did you choose this world to send me to?"
"You really love to ask questions while I'm trying to rest..."
"....sorry."
"Hm...no it's fine. It's not like rest even works for a god. Regardless, you want to know why I sent you to that world?"
"Yes."
"Hm....If I'm going to be honest, I had a few other worlds for you. It was between Vellsar, Terra, or Yggdrasill. But I chose Terra, because I sensed the most promise in it."
"Promise?"
"Yes. It is a world of war, crystals, and discrimination."
"How is that a good thing?"
"Why, it means there's more souls to reap. What could be better for one who is Death?"
————————————————————————
Wake up.
Her entire body jerked upwards. A grown of pain escaped from her mouth. She's staring at a white ceiling that she doesn't recognize.
Where was she?
"Finally awake?"
"Yes."
She could sense the moment that the speaker hesitated. Was it because she answered her so quickly?
"Hm. I guess you really meant it when you said we would meet again."
Ah. Now she knew who she was talking to.
"Do not mock me. My pride is the last thing I'm willing to lose."
More silence. She didn't mind.
"How long has it been since you brought me here?"
"About thirty five hours." The other answered.
Another pause.
"So, are you alright now? None of our medicine, or even my healing Arts, were able to help you. I figure that this isn't something we can handle." The Feline said.
"Of course not. This is my punishment. I am willing to accept the pain that comes with it. There is no healing for divine punishment."
"Divine punishment? Sounds like something much bigger than we can handle. Now, I won't ask how you ended up this way. But I have to ask, what are you going to do now? From looks alone, it would say you're no longer as powerful as you once were." Kal'tsit said.
The doctors words slowly sunk in, and she realized something. She sat up in record time, and was on her feet not even a second later. She quickly pulled her hood back over her face, body trembling.
"No one...should see my face."
She could feel the same black liquid dripping down her body. Not as much as it was before.
She shifted slightly, there was a sound of squelching then a few pops as several bullets hit the ground.
"What the-"
"What happened to the girl?"
She glanced behind her, and was met with a slightly disturbed expression.
"You'll...have to be more specific." Kal'tsit said, trying to regain her composure after such a display.
"I do not recall her name....she was a demon of flames, yet a child of innocence. She was a small blond girl. She belonged to the race that you refer to as 'Sarkaz'."
