When I asked Jaino earlier where we should be in case this incident didn't happen, he said we were at the right place. No'ng binanggit niya, naguluhan pa ako at tinanong ko si Cholo if this was really our "stop-over" for today and he said, it does.

Kaya binalikan ko ng tanong si Jaino at sinabi nito sa akin na ito nga talaga ang spot na tinutukoy niya sa amin. He said this spot right here where most of the luxury yachts stay or those rich people spend their time away from the port to celebrate, unwind, or another special occasion, or something lang na gusto nilang gawin. He added this spot was great if we were looking for some quiet spot and a diving spot where it is great underwater though he warned us that it's a little deep to where we are right now.

"So, what are you guys doing in cote d'Azur?"

I looked at Cholo and he was busy talking to Mr. Monet and I was left alone with his wife.

"Ah, uhm... we're just trying to try new things out this time..."

"Oh, interesting," she said. "Tell me more."

Napangiwi ako sa kanya. In-offer-an pa niya ako ng wine sa wine glass na hawak ko. Sinalinan niya at hindi ko naman siya pinigilan. I took a sip and it wasn't bad as I thought it would be kaya nasundan agad ang unang tikim ko.

"Wow, this is nice..."

"Of course, it does," she smirked. "That wine comes from Italy—we're partnered with an Italian winery so we've got the best. I'm glad you liked it."

"I wouldn't lie, I'm not a wine drinker, but this is the best," I confessed.

"Well, I guess if you're allowed to take home one bottle, I'll give you one—but if not, I'll send you one. No worries about that."

"Wow, thanks for that. Cholo should try this as well."

"He should," she said. "So, what's going on between the two of you? Are you a couple?"

I winced then shook my head as I answered her. "No, no. We're not a couple," depensa ko at ramdam ko ang pag-init ng tainga ko. Whenever this question comes up, I always try to avoid it since I would never be Cholo's type. Mahilig lang yan makipagbiruan, but he was never into me. "We're just friends—really good friends and we're here just to relax and have fun... I guess, that's all..."

"I see, but that was his son, right? Not yours?"

I shook my head to defend myself again. "No, no. That was his son."

"Oh, where's the mother? Don't like to join the adventure or is she on the other yacht?"

I shook my head with a thin smile on my face. "Uh, no... she's not here. She's gone... a very long time..."

"Oh," she said then sipped on her glass of wine. "I'm sorry to hear that. That boy was amazing. But how is he? It seems like he's a little sick?"

I nodded. "Yeah, he does. It seems like he's not used to this environment so probably he's been getting sea sickness. But this sailing will end in two days so he'll be fine by then."
