Why does he look so shocked? Did he really think that I was going to be friends with him the way he is? No way in hell. He needs to be someone who likes to read, cook, bake, and stay quiet for long periods of time. I refuse to have any other sort of friend.

He's good at being quiet for sure, but now I need to see how fast he can read and how good. Can he finish a 432 page book in the span of five hours? If not then there's no way that I can be his friend. Well, maybe I can, but we just wouldn't be able to do that much reading together.

"How long will the book be?"

"It will be exactly 432 pages long. I already have thirty different books picked out and all you have to do is choose a genre."

He probably thinks I'm weird. I mean, why would someone just so happen to have thirty long novels on standby?

"I guess I'll read a romance since you're reading one. It has to be unique though because I hate the same old typical romance story. The ones where the girl is so shy, and the guy just so happens to be so cool and bold. They end up meeting and the girl is so scared, but also loves him somehow. Then the guy ends up being a better person because of her. It's all a bunch of bullshit."

I think I might actually like this guy. He definitely has a mindset similar to my own.

"Then I have the perfect book for you. You're going to read Boyfriend Material. It's the best book for you."

"How do you know it's the best book for me exactly?"

"It has some humor in it, the characters are great, and there is one character who you might not like that much. It also isn't your typical love story. The love happens between two young men who form a fake relationship for reasons that you will find out in the book. But will this fake relationship lead them into a real one? You must read the book to find out."

I stop talking about the book as if I'm a salesman and I look at him. He starts bursting into laughter which is a little rude. I go out of my way to explain this book to him and he just starts laughing. Maybe it was my salesman's voice?

"Sorry, I don't mean to laugh. I just think it's funny that you expect me to read a book that's so predictable."

"At least read the first three chapters to see if you like it. And it's not predictable at all."

I go over to the bookshelf labeled romance and grab the book.

"Now, if you can finish this book before we have to leave then we can be very close friends. If you can't then we'll just be acquaintances."

I hand him the book and he takes it.

"Are you sure that this book isn't predictable?"

I nod.

"I'm more sure than I could ever be."

He opens the book and I walk back over to my seat. I open my book and continue reading. I honestly find Arthur's situation a little sad. Here he thought the universe brought him together with Ben, but now they've been separated.

I've read this book before. In fact, I've read it four other times, and this makes it my fifth time reading it. I look up from my book to see that Jaden actually looks like he's enjoying the book. That's nice.

I've never actually stopped to look at him. I don't think I should either. He glances over at me, and I quickly look back at my book. Did he see me? I really hope he didn't see me. I can hear him chuckle and now I know he saw me. He's laughing about it to himself, isn't he?
