Interviews are Only Fun if You're Getting Eaten Out 🌶

Lonny was laying on his stomach across his hotel bed, scrolling on his phone as he waited for an interview he was supposed to do at three. It was a zoom call- as most interviews were in this strange time- so Lonny didn't bother dressing up more than a band shirt and a beanie since he was too lazy to style his hair.

He hadn't bothered putting on pants since no one would see anything below his chest, and frankly, Lonny didn't feel like wearing anything other than his boxers. He was bored out of his mind, but couldn't really do anything about it since the interview would be starting any minute.

As if waiting for its que, Lonny got a zoom invite notification. He sighed, and clicked on the link, waiting to be added into the zoom meeting.

"Hey, Lonny! How's it going?" The interviewer said with a smile when his face appeared on the screen.

"Hey, man. Good, how about you?" Lonny asked, propping his phone up against a pillow he had moved, and leaned up on his elbows. It wasn't a twenty minute interview, so thought it would be fine to just stay on the bed. You couldn't even tell he was laying down anyways at this angle.

"Alright, let me set up and we'll start." The interviewer said, doing something on his computer(presumably setting up the screen recording).

"Sounds good." Lonny nodded. This was boring. Don't get him wrong, Lonny was more than happy to do interviews, he would just rather let Andy do the interviews and he and the rest of the band stay on the bus, and hang out.

That sounded a bit mean, but Andy was just good at interviews, and since he was the frontman, it didn't take a lot of convincing to get interviewers to want to talk to him rather than Lonny or CC.

"I'll count us off, and do the intro, okay?" The interviewer said, snapping Lonny out of his thoughts.

"Okay." Lonny nodded.

"Hey, what's up, guys! I'm Kevin with the Fuzz magazine where we talk all things guitars. Here with me on the show today is bass player for Black Veil Brides, Lonny Eagleton! How are you today, my friend?" Kevin rattled off.

"I'm great, Kevin. Thanks so much for having me on the show." Lonny smiled.

"No, thank you, man." Kevin chuckled. "You have a crazy schedule so we appreciate you taking time to talk to us." He said.

Lonny shrugged casually. "Its a hotel day so its actually not busy for once." He joked.

"Well then I caught you at the perfect time, huh." Kevin replied. "So for those who don't know about you for whatever reason, give us a quick recap of yourself."

"Oh gosh, okay." Lonny laughed. He always felt weird talking about himself. "Well I'm from Canada, I went to school for music-."

"Really? What did you major in?" Kevin asked, cutting Lonny off.

"Jazz guitar actually." Lonny replied.

"Oh really? That's amazing." The interviewer said, clearly impressed by Lonny's credentials.

"Thank you. Yeah, I did some touring for different artists for a while as a hired gun, and then I ended up touring for Andy's solo project in 2019, which was such an honor, and over the course of that tour, Andy and I became close, and when it came to a point that Black Veil needed a new bassist, Andy asked me to join." Lonny explained. Close was a bit of an understatement, but people didn't need to know the extent of their relationship.

Andy and Lonny had decided to keep their relationship private, only telling family and friends. It wasn't that they were ashamed of each other, or scared to come out- Lonny was already out, and Andy never really cared for labels-. It originally started because Andy didn't want fans thinking that he kicked out their old bassist solely to hire his boyfriend- they hadn't even started dating yet, but no one would buy that- especially after the drama their former bassist caused end of 2019 with absolutely nothing to back his claims but his word, and so many people believed him.
