If you're a TAS patron and saw their first episode back from hiatus, you know exactly why I went with this song.
Lonny was sitting on the couch, two oversized cats stretched out on either side of him as he watched TV. Crow had his head resting comfortably on Lonny's thigh, and Femme was curled up against his hip.
He didn't dare move, unwilling to disturb them since he was well aware of how much the two cats hated other people. Lonny couldn't believe they actually liked him enough to do this, so there was no way in hell he was going to mess it up by moving.
Lonny had gone back to Canada for a few weeks, but was now back to do some more recording, do some photoshoots, and film their music videos. Lonny was so nervous, but so excited at the same time. He's never done legitimate photoshoots and the only time he's been in a music video was for another artist, and it was a one off gig.
He and Andy seemed to have fallen into a pretty good rythm living together. Lonny hadn't lived with anyone since college, and it wasn't until now that he realized how much he missed having someone around.
Lonny didn't actually mind living in Los Angeles- sure, it was probably more so that he liked being here with his band(he still pinched himself every time he called it his band)and friends. If ever needed, he probably wouldn't mind living in the city of angels permanently.
He was so excited for tour next year, touring for Andy Black had been a dream come true, so he couldn't imagine how amazing going on the road with BVB will be.
Yeah, 2020 was going to be the best year yet for them.
After what felt like a lifetime, Crow rolled over onto his side, giving Lonny the chance to stad up very carefully as to not bother either feline, and made his way upstairs in search of the singer. He felt silly going to look for Andy because he was bored, but he just really liked spending time with Andy.
At this point, Lonny considered the singer to be one of his closest friends, and he really enjoyed staying with him when he had to be in LA.
Andy's house was a fairly decent size, and had a sitting room type area on the second floor with a loveseat, and a couple of chairs that lead to the bathroom.
He could hear the shower running, and and shrugged, turning to go back to watching television with the cats, but before he could return downstairs, he heard something else.
"There were nights when the wind was so cold." Andy sang, massaging shampoo into his hair. "That my body froze in bed, if I just listened to it right outside the window."
Lonny paused, biting his lip in amusement at the song choice. Andy didn't really seem like a Celine Dion guy, but he was sure it had probably gotten stuck in his head.
"There were days when the sun was so cruel, that all the tears turned to dust and I just knew my eyes were drying up forever." Andy had heard the song on the radio three days ago, and it's been trapped in his brain ever since. It was genuinely driving the singer insane.
Lonny listened intently, chuckling when Andy cursed in annoyance. "Damnit! Get out of my fucking head!"
The shower was quiet for a few moments, but eventually Andy started singing again, and Lonny couldn't help the smile that spread across his lips, shaking his head.
Lonny waited a few beats before he finally sat down on the loveseat across from the door, and pulled his phone out to scroll through Instagram.
He was shocked by how good Andy sounded singing Celine, but for some reason it worked. Lonny loved listening to Andy sing, especially in moments like these that were so rare.
