Lonny wasn't sure when the shift started. It all started off so normal. He was staring at the ceiling as he laid across the couch in the studio space his band was renting out for their Mexico tour. It was a few shows that ended in the biggest headline show the band had ever done. Everything was fine- amazing even!

They had a great crew, the set list was perfect, and the band was better than ever. Things were different though. Not with the band- things were great with the band. It was hard to explain.

There was something different between he and Andy. Nothing negative or bad... just... tense? Lonny couldn't put his finger on it, every time they were together, there was this energy between them. It was overwhelming at times, when he was close to the singer, it felt like he couldn't breathe. Everything about Andy was overwhelming to him now. His presence, his scent, his voice, his touch.

"I still can't hear Lonny." Andy said into his microphone.

"You're right next to me though." Lonny murmured teasingly. Andy rolled his eyes, and poked his side in reprimand. He didn't move away from the bassist though. Staying at his side as he continued saying random things into the microphone to test it.

Lonny's breath caught in his throat as Andy leaned into his side, watching him. "Testing, one, two, three." Lonny said into his own microphone.

"Now I can hear you." Andy said into his ear.

Lonny felt like he was going crazy. Andy was one of his best friends. They were so close, they've been close since they met on the Ghost of Ohio tour back in the beginning of 2019. He wasn't sure when things changed. One minute they were nothing more than close friends, and the next minute Lonny wanted more.

He yearned for Andy, every second they spent together was pure torture as his mind concocted fantasies both filthy and sweet alike.

Lonny was going through scales on his bass, warming up before he started tracking when he felt hands on his shoulders, and a chin on top of his head. "Have you started tracking yet?" Andy's deep voice was muffled in his hair as he nuzzled his face into it.

Lonny's fingers slipped, accidentally playing a sour note as he sucked in a breath. "Not yet, just wanted to warm up a little before I started." He replied, fighting the urge to lean back into his embrace.

Lonny didn't have make that decision it seemed because Andy slid his arms around his neck and pulled him back into his chest. "What do you want to eat for lunch?" He asked.

Lonny forgot how to breathe. Andy was affectionate, but this seemed like a lot. Andy had always been touchy with people he liked, but not this much. "You can pick." Lonny replied. The singer yawned and nodded, turning his head to rest his cheek on top of Lonny's head before he stepped away.

"Okay, sweetie." Andy said. He was tired. That's it. That's why he was being so cuddly with Lonny. God, this man was confusing him.

Lonny had talked to Rheta about it. Of course he talked to her about this. He wasn't going to destroy his marriage by lying or keeping secrets from her.

It was an awkward, uncomfortable conversation that had a lot of tears on both their parts, but eventually it ended with a simple solution.

Rheta was okay with it as long as Juliet was okay with it.
