"And I realize the joke is on me, hey

I knew you were trouble when you walked in

So shame on me now"

-I knew you were trouble, Taylor Swift's Red

"I'm exhausted." April whines as she enters Pleek Chambers, the cheer squad's personal room located in the giant gym building.

They use it for cheer meetings and getting ready as well. It's filled with comfortable couches, mirrors and vanity chairs for make up and hair and a large table in another corner for the squad to eat and work if needed. They even had their own attached personal locker room.

The redhead flops into the seat next to the busy girl. She makes a point of taking out her lipgloss and tiny, ribbon wrapped pink mirror. Applying then shiny gloss and fluffing her brilliant red hair, she complains about how some guy tried hitting on her on the way there.

"Clearly ignoring that creep wasn't enough of an answer, because he had the nerve to touch my arm." April rolls her eyes. "Luckily, Jaylen dropped kicked his ass so I didn't need to break a sweat."

Ray laughs next to her, trying to complete the rest of the signup sheet and documents to turn in so the squad can go to Malibu for the cheer championship. They needed to make sure all the documents are correct and turned in, even though the championship isn't until second semester, and first semester hasn't even started yet.

April glances over at what she's doing and smiles. "Thank you so much, Ray, for doing that. I know I was supposed to finish it up last night but-" April cuts herself, a look that the ravenette's not used to seeing, coming across her face.

Ray's used to April goofy, cheerful and friendly. There are not many times she has seen her truly upset...let alone like this. Even talking about the creep, she's more irritated than anything.

Her face now is something else, something different. She looks more spooked and...sad.

Ray blinks and the look is gone in only a moment. If the flyer isn't so sure, she would've thought she imagined it.

April flips her hair, taking one more look at her freshly glossed lips, pretty skin and perfect hair, before putting the mirror away.

"Anyway, you will not believe what I heard today." April grabs few of the documents from the co-captain to help her out.

"Someone just applied today." She whispers about the latest tea. She pauses for dramatic effect. "and got accepted today!"

The co-captain looks up in surprise. It was not often that people got accepted so soon. It was about two months until classes actually begin for the Uni students. However, acceptances normally happened way before summer even started.
