"Big reputations, big reputations
Ooh, you and me, we got big reputations...
Big reputations, big reputations
Ooh, you and me, would be a big conversation."
-End Game, Taylor's Swift reputation
April's upset and it's all Ramee's fault.
All day, she's been trying to get a hold of the vulture. Either, he lost his phone or... he's ignoring her. And if one considered the amount of rings that went through that hinted a purposely disconnected line... ignoring her was most plausible.
And if he was ignoring her, then honestly she didn't know why.
All she knows is tonight was the CB party, and she needs help.
Most of CG were busy with their own things. K's doing undercover work as a detective, so they try to keep him as uninvolved in the missions as possible. Taco and Randy were working on a project in Liberty City. Curtis was on a mission involving valuable goods in Vine City. Vinny and Flippy were working overtime to get materials for their weapons bench. Garrett and Big D were MIA as usual.
Other members like Wayne, Chodie and Anto pretty much kept the weed rep sky rocketing. Jaylen and Hutch oversaw H&O, the car import shop. P Money was holding down WuChang deals and events while K was away.
Most of the members already established their roles in the gang and knew what they were doing. Far too busy to pay the redhead any attention.
Honestly, she's got some concerns that she needs addressed. She went over the plan with CG several times, but some other concerns were wrecking her confidence.
Everyone else being busy only left Ramee to talk to.
Plus, he's her mentor so she's meant to go to him for these things. She's supposed to be closer to him than everyone else. As her mentor, he wanted...well needed to meet with her so they can get to know each other.
It was proving to be harder than her getting those Taylor Swift tickets a few days ago.
Without the presale code.
In her defense, they didn't spend much time together. The siren saw him in group settings often but too many people around made it so Ramee felt comfortable attaching to them instead. They've had two mentor-mentee meetings so far, but he wasn't really trying to get to know her.
Their first duo meeting (about two week ago, the day after the race) consisted of him warning her not to fuck up. He dipped five minutes later. The second time (about three days ago) was at his place while eating Maldini's. He'd taught her a bit about his newest business, VLC.
After a harmless joke regarding library galleries (the building's been there for months and she's only seen two or three people entering it, how was she supposed to know it wasn't completely open yet?) and spilling Maldini's parfait on his Dior shirt, by mistake mind you, he kicked her out.
Admittedly, she's worried about her relationship with her mentor. She'd never had to work so hard to hang out with someone, let alone a man. Men literally paid to get a second of her time. It was frustrating, and it pissed her off.
Now she stood in the gallery's lobby, the last stop on her search list, watching Ramee and Ray having a jolly good time. The ravenette's holding a gold box with what looked like gems Ramee only mentioned to April. He's smiling softly as he explains each one of their specialties. The always eager to learn ravenette's nodding enthusiastically at the information.
