🔨Chapter 21: Ray POV  🔨

Ray's made a big mistake it seems. Raymond and her have been hanging out a lot lately after Randy rejected her some time ago. It's been even more time since Raymond and her had a talk about him blabbing all over town after she specifically asked him not to. He'd apologized and made up for it since then.

Today, she planned to do a race with Raymond and invited Tommy T, Lana and others since it's been a while since she's been able to hang out with them. She is excited to see them, especially Lana. The raven got so used to seeing her squad for practices pretty much everyday, it feels weird not seeing them as much since she graduated.

However, Raymond is not happy about her inviting Tommy T to this race. She's never said it would be just the two of them, plus how could it be a proper race with just two anyway.

Ray knows why he's reacting this way and the behavior worries her and makes her see her mistakes with him clearly. The recent hang outs have confused the man of her intentions and he probably thinks they are dating or something. She'll need to clear things up later.

Ray, Yuno, Raymond, and Lang are standing around in a circle outside UwU when Ray sees Tommy pull up. Excited, she rushes off and meets him just as he comes out of the car on the phone. He grins at her before hanging up and explaining with an exasperated expression that Dean's pot stirring again. The raven giggles and rolls her eyes at that. 

"Where's Lana?" She ask when she doesn't see her with him. The leader explains she's meeting them at the track later as they join the others. Buddha loves Tommy and they immediately start joking around as Buddha ask to join the MDM. Raymond awkwardly joins in. Yuno pulls Ray to the side while they converse.

"I think he's still into you." Yuno states worriedly. She's told her brother about her disinterest in Raymond romantically especially after what happened. Ray bites her lip as she glances over at the tense men staring each other down.

"I'm not even with Tommy. He has a whole girl. Who, by the way, is joining us." The ravenette grimaces at the thought of once again turning down Raymond and explaining she did not want to be with him in that way.

It's been months since that S boost, you'll think he'll catch the hint. Then again, maybe hanging with him so often is leading him on. She feels bad but she couldn't help finding a distraction in Raymond after the whole Randy thing.

The raven gets a phone call just as she notices Raymond and Tommy walking away from the crowd.

On the phone, Jaylen's telling her about a car that he thinks she may like and ask her to meet up with him when she has the time. She agrees with him and then they hang up.

Ray doesn't bother to ask for more detail. She's a bit distracted watching Raymond and Tommy converse. It seems to be very tense over there and she notices Tommy's face flicker with annoyance. When she sees the Russian man step up to the leader, she quickly rushes over. 

"What's going on?" The ravenette nervously frets, standing between the two. Tommy doesn't even spare her a glimpse. His eyes are staring into the soul of Raymond. The anger is leaking off him like a waterfall. Raymond's eyes are hard too before they soften at the sight of Ray.

"Nothing." Raymond boast loudly, smile wide. He gestures to their cars and urges them all to meet at the track so they can get started. When the man walks away, Ray presses a hand to Tommy's shoulder to bring his attention to her. The leader huffs in annoyance before assuring her he's fine and walking to his car.
