Luke
"Amber, I seriously couldn't care less about your horrible relationship with our friend Jamal here." I say in an annoyed tone as I facepalm myself.
"This is IMPORTANT, LUKE!!" Amber cries.
"I AIN'T GOIN' BE THIS WACK-JOBS WIFE!!!"
"How enthralling," I mutter under my breath.
Before I can even say another word to Amber, an excruciatingly loud alarm is blaring.
"OWWWWWW!!!!!!" We all scream.
"WHAT THE HELL?!?!?" Amber shouts, covering her ears.
"MY EARS ARE BLEEDING!!!" Kyle shouts at the top of his lungs.
"ATTENTION, STUDENTS!!!" A booming voice says over the intercom over the screeching alarm.
"THERE IS A MURDERER ON CAMPUS!!!!! I REPEAT, THERE IS A MURDERER ON CAMPUS!!! THIS ISN'T A DRILL!!! ONE STUDENT WAS ALREADY FOUND DEAD!!!!! THIS IS NOT A DRILL!!!!!"
Everyone is screaming and panicking.
Amber is on the verge of tears, as are Jamal, Liam, and Kyle. The voice booms again; "EVERYONE, DO WHATEVER IT TAKES!!!! JUST SURVIVE!!!"
It's chaos; everyone is shrieking at the top of their lungs and many people are in sheer tears out of the hell of it all.
"What if it's Emerald?!?" I cry in a panicked voice. "It can't be!!" Amber gasps. "It's gotta be someone else!! The school would be torn already if it was her!!!"
"Fair," Liam says quickly.
"Fair."
"Okay we need to stay calm," Kyle says frantically but I'm already running to the Elementary. I don't look back. There's nothing else I can do; I can only run.
"LUKE!!! WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!?!?" My friends shriek as they try to catch up.
The alarm is still giving us a massive headache, and I'm on the verge of a migraine from all of the screams and tears.
"I NEED TO MAKE SURE THE ELEMENTARY KIDS ARE GETTING AWAY!!!!" I scream back as I run like there's no tomorrow. I can faintly see piles and piles of smaller children running out of the building, toppling and trampling each other to get away as quickly as possible. I can hear their crying and shrieks from here, shockingly enough; I thought I went deaf.
I reach the Elementary, huffing and puffing from all of the running. "EVERYONE STAY CALM!!!" I shout. "EVERYTHING WILL BE ALRIGHT!!!!" The kids go silent for a moment and turn to me.
Huh.
Easier than I thought.
"Look, we need to get you all to safety." I say as I pace for a moment.
One small kid raises her hand high up in the air.
"Yes?" I ask as she puts her hand down.
"U-um. . . mister, how are you going to help us?" The little girl asks, trembling in her shining, tiny black boots.
"Don't worry about anything." I tell her sweetly and she tilts her head, her light blonde pigtails swaying.
"Okay, mister." She says in a tone that seems unsure, but she gives me a small smile. "What's your name, kid?" I ask, holding my hand out to her. She stares at me for a moment, then she grabs my hand.
"Mia," She says, looking up at me.
"Well, Mia," I start, giving her a grin. "I swear on my honor that I will protect both you and everyone else that is out here right now, shocked and terrified. Don't worry; you guys are safe now."
