Luke
It's been two days since the forest incident. I had done exactly what Katie told me word-for-word.
Now it's Sunday night and I don't know what happened to her.
"Luke!!!! Time for bed!!!!" My mom screeches for the bottom of the staircase.
"Okay!!!" I yell back. I turn the lights off and just brood. I wonder if she's dying or something. What if that Emerald girl has her in her clutches?!?!? Oh, that would be HORRIBLE!!!!
I sure hope she's okay. . .
I've literally been worried all weekend and she hasn't texted back once or called back to the missed calls.
It's like she just disappeared off the face of the earth. I throw the sheets over myself as I stare off into space. My mom is not going to come in and bother me, so I've got the whole night to myself.
Usually, I'd actually DO something with this power. I could sit down and watch some videos if I wanted.
But I don't; like I've been doing. I've been sitting down and worrying if that Emerald girl has Katie.
I'm going to beat the crap out of that girl if she's got Katie in her sinister clutches. . .
If my mom knew, well, not every detail anyway, she'd tell that there's no point in worrying about things we can't control.
You just need to go with the flow and pray that things will go right. I've been trying to tell myself this, but it hasn't been working.
I shove my face into my pillow and try to go to bed.

I'm walking through the empty hallways of the school.
As I round the corner, simply just wandering at this point, I can faintly see a girl in the distance with flowy, caramel-colored curls.
The girl turns around to face me and I instantly know who it is: "KATIE!!!" I shout as I run to her. "
LUKE!!! OH MY GOSH!!!" She shouts gleefully. "When did you get here?"
"I've been here for a minute," I tell her as she nods. "Same goes for me." She looks around. "This place was so desolate before you came here." "
That's what I was thinking." I say as I walk past her, going down the hallway.
"H-hey!" She shouts as she tries to catch up to me.
"Don't leave me!"
"Oh! What is this? Katie doesn't want me to leave her?" I say loudly in a fake, surprised tone to annoy her.
"QUIET, YOU!" She shouts, her face flushed as I laugh.
"I didn't mean it like that!!!"
"Then what did you mean it as, huh?" I prod as I poke her shoulder constantly.
"I meant that I don't wanna be here alone!!" She shouts.
"Eh, pretty similar, nonetheless." I say as she huffs in annoyance. "What are we going to do, Luke?" Katie asks as she nervously trails behind me.
"No one else is here. It's just you and me."
"Hmm. Sounds pretty promising," I say jokingly as she screams "SHUT UP!!!" behind me.
