"KILL IT WITH FIRE!!!" Rosalina shrieks, terror enveloping her features. "SHUT UP!!" I shout, my hands moving around frantically in the darkness for both the torch and the formal papers I dropped in my frenzy. "SHUT. UP!! LET ME FOCUS!!" Rosalina instantly shuts her mouth, her frigid form shivering violently against the barren wall.

I look up and notice that Rosalina's eyes are widening and she's desperately trying to shove herself further into the wall as if she can just phase through it if she's petrified enough. "What?" I snap. "What's the issue now??" She doesn't respond but rather shies away at my harsh tone and closes her terror-filled eyes.

I spin around to see that the figure has gotten closer. My assumption is that he was walking towards us up until I laid my eyes upon him. I hear a tiny thud behind me and I look back to see Rosalina curled up against the wall, tears of fear running down her pale cheeks. I quickly look back to the figure just to see it's gotten closer. My breathing picks up slightly.

Overwrought, I fumble for the scattered items laying limply on the cold, darkened floor. I pick up the unlit wood and wind up. "W-What are you doing??" Rosalina stutters in a panic-filled voice, looking at me with a tear streaked face.

"What I should've done while this thing was still lit," I reply, my hands shaking and my voice wavering with fear for the future. I extend my free hand out to Rosalina. "Grab on and don't ask questions," I instruct her as she nods quickly.

Without a moment of hesitation, I throw the torch at the figure with all of my force. The figure stumbles back in shock and from the fact that I just whacked it in the face with a piece of wood going at approximately six miles per hour.

I fly past the figure, gripping onto Rosalina like my life depends on it. She yelps in surprise as I speed through the body-filled room. I jam the up button in the elevator as quickly as I possibly can until the door begins shutting at an excruciatingly slow pace.

It eventually shuts and Rosalina grips onto the metal bars, breathing heavily. "Where are we going to go?" Rosalina asks me through huffs. "We need to go back to Mrs. Catherine." I explain to her firmly, still on edge from that. "That was no doubt the murderer we are searching for. We need to warn everyone."

Rosalina nods slowly as if she doesn't quite trust me or want to go tell Mrs. Catherine. "Okay." She says in a small voice, hanging her head slightly and letting her red locks fall around her nicely shaped face.

The second the elevator door rings and begins opening, I dash out of there, gripping onto Rosalina's wrist as hard as I possibly can, causing her to let out a small, feeble squeak of pain.

I turn a sharp corner, causing Rosalina to smash her face into the wall. I ignore her yelp of slight torment and continue to run down the halls. Once we reach them, we speed down the winding halls of the high school. After more stress and constant looking back, we reach Mrs. Catherine's office.

"Here we are," I say breathily, looking back once more to make sure that shadowy figure hasn't been chasing us this whole time. "What are we supposed to say?" Rosalina asks, bent down and hands on her knees as she attempts to catch her breath.

"Let's just tell her that during our simply extravagant journey, we just happened to stumble upon the very thing trying to rid us all from this planet." I say, putting my back against the fancy wooden door.

"That sounds pretty vague." Rosalina mentions as she dusts her skirt off. She then looks up at me with shining hazel eyes. "I like it."

"What, the part where we don't explain everything that happened?" I ask, a small smile tugging at the corner of my lips. "Yep," Rosalina says as she places her right hand on the door, shifting her weight onto the wooden structure.
